Details Released in Carlton Double-Fatal Crash Investigation

Investigation of this tragic accident continues.

(McMINNVILLE, Ore.) - The July 8th double fatal two-car crash that occurred at the intersection of Meadowlake Road and Westside Road in rural Carlton remains under investigation by the Multi Agency Traffic Team.

The investigation to this point indicates the following:

82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper Dies in Motorcycle Accident

(FORT BRAGG, N.C.) - An 82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper died early Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Cliffdale Road in Fayetteville, Monday.

Pfc. Holden Jeffrey Philbrook, 19, of Citrus Heights, California, was an indirect fire infantryman with 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Abn. Div.

Fatal Longboard Accident Claims WSHS Senior

(SALEM, Ore.) - The police investigation determined that 18-year old Joshua Robertson was riding down Eagle Crest Road NW, traveling southbound. He lost control on a corner and fell backwards, striking his head. Joshua was not wearing a helmet or other protective equipment.

The West Salem HS Senior was transported to the Salem Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased around 2:10 p.m.

Fatal Head On Crash at Oregon`s Sand Lake

Sand Lake is a very popular destination and continues to grow, making it ever more dangerous.

(CLOVERDALE, Ore.) - The Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a fatal head on crash between two sandrail recreational vehicles at the top of the first bowl at Sand Lake.

There were reportedly no injuries in the first vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle was found deceased on scene, and the front passenger was transported by Life Guard Helicopter to OHSU with life threating injuries.

Fatal Traffic Crash on HWY 99W near McDougal Junction

ODOT established a detour around the crash scene on the heavily traveled highway.

(DAYTON, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into this morning's fatal crash on highway 99W near milepost 30, just south of McDougal Junction in Yamhill County.

A Tan Ford SUV was traveling northbound on highway 99W when for undetermined reasons the vehicle crossed the centerline into the southbound lane.

Car Crashes into Hagan Hamilton Building

A shocking sight indeed!

(McMinnville, Ore.) - A car crashed into the Hagan Hamilton Insurance building in McMinnville on Monday night.

During the investigation it was determined that the vehicle drove through the concrete barriers that were installed to protect the building, at a high rate of speed, after the driver was unable to negotiate a bend in the road.

Motorcyclist Thrown From Marion Street Bridge Following Collision

All lanes of the Marion Street Bridge are now open for normal traffic.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Salem Police Department Traffic Control Unit is on the scene of a motorcycle/vehicle crash on the Marion Street bridge that caused the motorcycle driver to be thrown into the Willamette River below.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 pm on Monday when a motorcycle and vehicle impacted each other while eastbound on the Marion Street Bridge.

Multiple Cars Involved in I-5 Fatal Crash

The Sentra's passenger is in Critical condition.

(SALEM, Ore.) - On September 24, 2014 at approximately 7:50 a.m., a 2005 Ford Ranger pickup driven by 53-year old Michael Lippman, from SE Salem, was northbound in heavy rain conditions when it collided into the left side of a tanker trailer.

The pickup then crossed the raised grass center median into the southbound lanes where it collided head-on with a 1993 Nissan Sentra two-door with two occupants. The Nissan's driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Fatality Following Bicycle vs Pickup Crash on Hwy 131

This accident took place between Netarts and Tillamook, on a road with no shoulders.

(TILLAMOOK, Ore. ) - Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Friday afternoon's crash involving a bicyclist and pickup on Highway 131 between Netarts and Tillamook.

OSP was notified this morning that the bicyclist died from injuries sustained in the crash early Monday morning at a Portland-area hospital. An enforcement decision is pending.

Vehicle vs. Bicyclist collision on NW Hill Road

The bicyclist was transferred to OHSU via Life Flight Network helicopter and is listed in serious condition.

(McMINNVILLE, Ore. ) - A bicycle collided with a Freighliner tractor/trailer today on a common thoroughfare in McMinnville, Oregon.

Bicyclist Richard Barrett, a 67 year old resident of Corvallis, Oregon, was riding a bicycle southbound on the west shoulder of NW Hill Road. 33-year old Kasey Kauer, from Amity, was also southbound on NW Hill Road operating a 1993 Freightliner tractor pulling a low-boy trailer with an agricultural spray rig secured to the deck.
