Semi-Truck Tipped Over on Southbound Hwy 22 Off-Ramp

The off-ramp was closed for about 6 hours while the crash was cleaned up.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Shortly after 7:00 am this morning, Salem Police officers were dispatched to the off ramp from eastbound Highway 22 (Center Street Bridge) onto southbound Front St on a report of a semi-truck that had tipped over on the ramp.

Officers arrived to find a red 2016 semi-truck pulling a single trailer laying on its left side with the top of the trailer laying on the top of the east railing of the ramp.

Two Killed In Highway 213 Crash North of Silverton

A pickup crossed the centerline and cost two lives.

(SILVERTON, Ore.) - Preliminary investigation revealed a 2003 Toyota Sienna van was traveling southbound when it drifted off the roadway, lost control and came back onto the highway.

The Toyota crossed the centerline at an angle where it was struck on the passenger side by a northbound 1999 Acura sedan.

Sailor Killed When Car Crashes Into Truck Pulling Loaded Horse Trailer

Tragedy included one fatality and injuries to 3 people and 2 horses.

(AURORA, Ore.) - The driver of the passenger car was seriously injured and life flighted to a Portland hospital. The passenger died on scene. She has been identified as 25-year old Stephanie Stover. She was in the Navy and stationed in Everett, Washington on the USS Gridley.

The truck's occupants were both taken to area hospitals and are expected to live.

Salem Woman Killed in Crash on Silverton Road

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Salem Police Traffic Control Unit.

(SALEM, Ore.) - When they arrived on the scene, officers found an adult female deceased and a 9-year old girl injured in one vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle with minor injuries.

The investigation has shown that 19-year old Estaban Alvarez-Ayala was traveling eastbound on Silverton Rd in a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck when, for some reason, he crossed into the westbound lane of traffic.

Double Fatal Crash on Hwy 47 Near Vernonia

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Wednesday afternoon's tragic crash.

(VERNONIA, Ore.) - Two people died Wednesday afternoon in a near head-on crash. According to OSP, two Ford F-150 pickups were fully engulfed in fire when troopers arrived at the scene Wednesday afternoon.

Both drivers were determined to have sustained fatal injuries from the crash. There were no passengers in either pickup.

UPDATE: Fatal Crash North of Lincoln City Closes Hwy 18 for Hours

A westbound van went off the road and caught fire.

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore.) - Just before 3 a.m., early Tuesday July 12th, OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Highway 18, near milepost 3.5 (north of Lincoln City).

Preliminary investigation reveals a white in color 15-passenger GMC van, was traveling westbound when it departed the highway and for unknown reasons, striking several large trees and catching fire.

(LINCOLN CITY, Ore.) - A crash involving two vehicles on Highway 101 near Devils Lake Road, just north of Lincoln City, brought traffic to a standstill on one of the heaviest traveled days of the year on Oregon's coastal roadways.

About 1:30 the afternoon of July 4th, a 2008 Toyota Prius driven by 18-year old Logan Kitzhaber, was traveling southbound on Highway 101 when it crossed the centerline, sideswiping a northbound 1988 motorhome.

July 4th Traffic Crash Near Siletz Claims One Life

Medical conditions are believed to be contributing factors.

(SILETZ, Ore.) - The 2002 Ford F150 pickup left the roadway, going off the south shoulder, and fell approximately 45 feet down the embankment.

Deputies determined that Mr. Kahn was the only occupant of the vehicle and he was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.

Teen Drowns in Swift Moving Clackamas River: UPDATED

This tragedy is a reminder of the high risks swimming in rivers.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - Upon arrival, rescuers learned from witnesses that the unidentified teen had attempted to swim across the river with friends, two made it across as the third attempted to make the shore. None of the swimmers were wearing personal flotation devices.

Rescuers quickly arrived on scene and learned the swimmer had been under water for about ten minutes before rescue attempts were made.

Serious DUII Crash Near Wheatland Road Sends Three to Hospital

The curves south of Wheatland Road are often underestimated.

(DAYTON, Ore.) - A 2014 Audi sedan lost control on a corner just south of Wheatland Road and crashed. OSP was called to the scene about 3 am Friday.

Police say the Audi left the roadway and traveled approximately 600 feet along the ditch line. The Audi struck a tree, a power pole and a highway sign coming to rest in the middle of the roadway after rolling several times.
