(COLLEGE STATION, Texas) - The Texas A&M football team finished the regular season with a 38-30 victory over No. 11-ranked Texas on Friday at Kyle Field. Head coach Dennis Franchione stepped down following the game.
The Aggies (7-5, 4-4 Big 12) have consecutive victories over Texas for the first time since 1991-94 under Franchione's predecessor, R.C. Slocum. Texas still has an outside shot of making it to the Big 12 championship game if 10th-ranked Oklahoma loses to Oklahoma State on Saturday.

(LAS VEGAS) - Ashley Allen and Talisa Rhea both connected on three second-half three pointers, but it wasn’t enough as Montana defeated the Oregon State women’s basketball team, 57-42, Friday afternoon at the opening game of the Lady Rebel Shootout at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Allen led the Beavers with 14 points, her second double-figure scoring effort of the season. Rhea, meanwhile, scored all nine of her points off the three second-half three-pointers.

(BATON ROUGE, La.) - Darren McFadden rushed for three touchdowns and threw for another to lift Arkansas to a 50-48, three-overtime victory over the top-ranked Tigers on Friday.
Peyton Hillis also scored four TDs, the last in the third overtime. Felix Jones ran for the critical 2-point conversion to make it 50-42 for the Razorbacks (8-4, 4-4 Southeastern Conference).
LSU (10-2, 6-2) responded when Matt Flynn found Brandon LaFell for a 9-yard TD, but Matterral Richardson intercepted the 2-point conversion attempt, and Arkansas' bench emptied onto the field in triumph, having ending the nation's longest home winning streak at 19 games.

The Pilots are on a 10 game winning and have shut out their last eight opponents. Tennessee will play in their fifth Sweet 16 in program history after topping Furman (2-0) and Clemson (1-0) in the first and second rounds, respectively.

(MONACO) - At its meeting held in Monaco today, the IAAF Council reviewed the case of Marion Jones in light of her admission that she was using the prohibited substance known as 'the clear' beginning on September 1, 2000 and confirmed the following consequences of her admission of doping and acceptance of sanction.
Jones, 31, was given a two-year ban by athletics' world governing body, which also recommended that the International Olympic Committee withdraw her five Olympic medals after she admitted doping last month.
