(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - The Oregon State gymnastics program will be featured on this week’s Beavers All Access, first airing on Wednesday, January 2nd, as part of a special series showcasing Oregon State’s winter sports.
The gymnastics feature will first air on FSN Northwest at 2:00 PM on Wednesday and will air again at 6:30 PM that evening.

(EL PASO, Tx.) - Jonathan Stewart's rush for a career-high 253 yards meant two touchdowns, and Justin Roper threw four touchdown passes as Oregon let 23rd-ranked South Florida have it today during the Sun Bowl where they finished they dominated the game and finished with a score of 56-21.
Justin Roper was playing in the place of Dennis Dixon, the team's injured signal-caller. He completed 17-of-30 passes for 180 yards. Stewart carried 23 times with the Ducks racking up 534 yards as they set a Sun Bowl point record.

(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) - With no answer for 6-10 center Jeff Skemp, who posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, the George Fox University Bruins dropped a 79-69 decision to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers in their final non-conference men’s basketball game of the season Monday afternoon here at Point Loma Nazarene University’s Golden Gym.
Skemp and the Bruins’ Evan Atwater traded a pair of free throws to open the first-half scoring, but Charlie Lohoff hit a three-pointer and a jumper and Skemp made a steal and subsequent layup for a 9-2 Pioneer lead five minutes into the game.

The competition was fierce all the way through but in the third quarter, the Jazz took the lead for the second time. Their lead gained momentum throughout the game. Portland had a three second technical called against them just after the Jazz took the lead for the first time in the game during the second quarter.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Closing out the non-conference portion of their schedule in fine fashion, the George Fox University Bruins placed 13 different players in the scoring column and cruised past the Worcester State College Lancers 87-32 in a women’s basketball contest Saturday evening here at the Wheeler Sports Center’s Miller Gym.
The Bruins, ranked 16th in the NCAA Division III by D3hoops.com, scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed in posting their third straight win.

(MONMOUTH, Ore.) - Central Washington eliminated any potential drama very early during a 97-52 men’s basketball victory over Concordia on Saturday at the Phoenix Inn & Suites WOU Classic at the Physical Education Building.
The Wildcats hit 18 of their first 19 shots in the game and went on a 32-2 run before intermission to seal the verdict before halftime. The victory moved CWU’s record to 6-3 on the season and guaranteed them at least a share of the tournament title. Western Oregon (1-0) and Sonoma State (0-1) play at 6:00 PM in the final game of the classic.
