(KIRKLAND, Wash.) - The NU Eagles defeated a feisty Oregon Tech team, 3-1 (25-15, 24-26, 25-16, 25-22), tonight in a CCC contest in the Pavilion.
The first set saw NU jump out early, 11-2, on the Owls and the Eagles would maintain their lead the entire set, increasing their lead to 17-7 after an OIT attack error and a service ace by NU's Alexa Brown. (Tempe, Ariz.) - A big sixth inning helped secure the Oregon State softball team’s first win of the season over Notre Dame, 7-3, on Saturday evening in the team’s fourth game of the Kajikawa Classic.

(MONMOUTH, Ore.) - The Wolves' starting backcourt combined for 48 points as Western Oregon held on for a 71-66 win over Colorado School of Mines, 71-66, Saturday, Dec. 19. The win moved WOU's record to 6-2 as CSM fell to 4-5.
The game was a story of two halves. Western Oregon pushed a 19-point halftime lead to 24 points early in the second period, only to see its lead cut to two points on a 25-3 run by the Orediggers. The Wolves then responded with a 7-0 run, to extend their lead back to nine.

George Fox, ranked 12th in the WBCA’s NCAA Division III poll and 18th in the D3hoops.com poll, improved to 6-2 on the season, while Chaminade, an NCAA Division II team, dropped to 1-4.

Futch tied her previous best of 15 achieved three nights ago in the Beavers’ victory over Weber State. That 15-point effort had surpassed her previous high of 13 achieved two years against Washington.

Four master men’s titles were also awarded on the penultimate day of racing at the USA Cycling Cyclo-cross National Championships.
