(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - The Oregon State men’s basketball team returns to action this weekend as the Beavers host Oregon in the Civil War presented by Northwest Dodge Dealers on Sunday, March 2nd, at 7:00 PM. The game will be nationally televised by FSN.
Oregon State enters the week after dropping a pair of games last week in Los Angeles. The Beavers fell to nationally-ranked UCLA before falling to USC on Saturday to close out the week.

(SANFORD, Florida) - Willamette University scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to overcome a 3-2 deficit, then held off St. Vincent College in the bottom of the inning, as the WU Bearcats defeated the SVC Bearcats, 5-4, at Sanford Memorial Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 24th.
For Willamette, now 2-3 on the season, it was the fourth game decided by one run or with the winning run scored in the ninth inning or an extra inning. St. Vincent, playing its season opener, fell to 0-1.

(CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif.) - Cathedral City, Calif. – The Oregon State softball team earned 12 hits, led by senior Cambria Miranda’s (Camarillo, Calif.) 3-for-3 performance to win its final game of the Palm Springs Classic, 8-3, over Florida Atlantic Sunday afternoon.
Oregon State (8-8) chalked up three doubles and a home run, and had three other players with multi-hit games, led by sophomore Dani Chisholm (Boring, Ore.), who added a couple of runs. Junior Paige Lowe (Tustin, Calif.) and sophomore Alana Ford (Chula Vista, Calif.) were the other two, with Ford adding two RBI.

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Mercedes Fox-Griffin scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four assists, but it was not enough as the Oregon State women’s basketball team lost a heartbreaker in the closing seconds to the UCLA Bruins 55-52 Thursday night at legendary Gill Coliseum.
"I thought it was a great basketball game, unfortunately we didn’t do what we needed to do to close it out and that’s been a problem for us this entire season," Beaver head coach LaVonda Wagner said. "That’s what happens with a young team. We got overly excited in the end; I give UCLA credit, they did what they needed to do and came out of here with a win."

(ATHERTON, Calif.) - An extra-inning home run won the first game and a walk-off home run decided the second game, as Willamette University and Menlo College split a pair of baseball games on Sunday, Feb. 17 at Cartan Field.
Willamette won the continuation of Saturday's suspended game, 9-7, in 11 innings. Menlo won the regularly scheduled game that followed, 14-11.
