Corban - LCSC Baseball Series Moved to Linfield College

Corban is 5-8 overall on the season.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - corban college baseballThis weekend's three-game series between Corban College and NAIA No. 1-ranked Lewis-Clark State College has been moved to Roy Helser Field on the campus of Linfield College due to poor field conditions at Corban’s baseball field.

Friday's doubleheader will begin at 1:00 p.m., while Saturday's single game will start at noon. Linfield has an artificial turf infield that can better withstand wet weather.

Ducks Sweep Northern Illinois

Oregon jumped out to a 3-0 lead when sophomore center fielder Neena Bryant thumped a three-run homer down the left field line in the first inning.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Neena BryantThe University of Oregon softball team (19-11) wrapped up a doubleheader sweep of Northern Illinois Thursday with a 5-3 win in the afternoon finale at Howe Field.

The Ducks survived their second hour-long rain delay of the day to win thanks to a complete game by junior right-hander Melissa Rice. The Colville, Wash., native pitched seven innings, struck out five, gave up five hits, three earned runs and three walks.

Washington State Holds Off Oregon, 75-70

Tajuan Porter scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half, and Malik Hairston had 20 points and seven rebounds for the Ducks.

(LOS ANGELES ) - Malik HairstonDerrick Low scored 18 points, Taylor Rochestie added 16, and No. 21 Washington State held off the Ducks 75-70 Thursday night in the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 tournament.

Kyle Weaver had 14 points and seven assists and Robbie Cowgill added 12 points and six rebounds for the third-seeded Cougars (24-7), who won for the seventh time in nine games following a three-game losing streak.

Arizona Ends Oregon State's Nightmare Season

The Wildcats advanced to play No. 11 Stanford in Thursday night's quarterfinals.

(LOS ANGELES) - beavers logoReserve Lathen Wallace scored 19 points and Marcel Jones had 12 rebounds to lead Oregon State as the Beavers fell to Arizona, 87-56, in action on Wednesday at the Pac-10 Tournament.

Jordan Hill led five players in double figures with 16 points to lead Arizona. The Wildcats needed at least one more win to extend their 23-year streak of NCAA tournament appearances, the longest in the nation.

Portland State Headed to First NCAA Tournament

Deonte Huff led the Vikings for the second night in a row, scoring 17 points with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Deonte HuffThe Portland State basketball team produced the greatest moment in its’ men’s basketball history on Wednesday night when the Vikings defeated the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, 67-51, in the Big Sky Conference Championship game at the Rose Garden.

The Vikings, who were also Big Sky regular season champions, earned a first-ever berth in the men’s NCAA Division I basketball championship which begins next week. The Vikings will learn on Sunday, when the tournament bracket is announced, who they play and where.

The Beavers have the most games on regional and national television in the Pacific-10.

They are the Sun., March 30 contest against Washington and the Sat., May 24 game versus Pacific joining the April 26 Arizona game as regional and national telecast on FSN Northwest. Washington and Pacific game-times have been moved to 2 p.m. PST.

Taylor Lilley averaged 22.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game during Oregon’s two games,

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Taylor LilleyOregon sophomore guard Taylor Lilley was named to the 2008 State Farm Pac-10 Women’s all-Tournament team, it was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Stanford, which won the Pac-10 tournament championship on Monday night after a 56-35 victory over California, had three players make the all-tournament squad, led by MVP Candice Wiggins, sophomore Jayne Appel and freshman Kayla Pedersen.
