EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon sophomore guard Taylor Lilley was named to the 2008 State Farm Pac-10 Women’s all-Tournament team, it was announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Stanford, which won the Pac-10 tournament championship on Monday night after a 56-35 victory over California, had three players make the all-tournament squad, led by MVP Candice Wiggins, sophomore Jayne Appel and freshman Kayla Pedersen.

Also selected to the squad; Arizona State’s Dymond Simon, California’s Devanei Hampton and Lilley.

“Making the Pac-10 Tournament team is a very deserving award for Taylor,” Oregon head coach Bev Smith said. “She’s definitely in great company.”

Oregon opened the tournament as the No. 7 seed, and in the first game of the weekend, knocked off No. 10 seed Washington State, 66-45, last Friday night. The Ducks were then eliminated from the tournament after a 67-60 loss to No. 2 Cal on Saturday afternoon.

Lilley averaged 22.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game during Oregon’s two games, shooting .533 (16-30) from the floor. She knocked down six three-pointers and also was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line.

The Newhall, Calif., native scored a game-high 20 points in the win over the Cougars last Friday, before adding a game-high 24 in Saturday’s loss to the Golden Bears.

Lilley helped erase an eight-point Cal lead in the final five minutes of the game, converting two three-point plays, adding an additional lay-up, and knocking down a clutch three-pointer from four feet behind the arc with 15 seconds on the clock, bringing the Ducks within 62-60. Lilley scored 11 of her 24 points during that stretch.

She finished this season averaging 12.7 points per game to lead Oregon. She also led the Ducks with 74 three-pointers, a single-season mark that ranks second in Oregon history. In just two seasons, Lilley’s 113 career three-pointers already rank sixth all-time in Oregon history.
