(SALEM, Ore. ) - Senior Lindsay Batey (Aloha, Ore.) hit a one-out, walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning, as Corban's softball team split an afternoon doubleheader with the Red Raiders of Southern Oregon, 3-4 & 6-5, Monday at Warrior Field.
Having dropped six straight games, including four straight conference games, Corban came into today's twin bill knowing that either a sweep or split could possibly jump start the rest of its season.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Joey Wong’s single with one out in the bottom of the 13th scored John Tommasini from third, giving the Oregon State baseball team a 5-4 victory over in-state rival Portland in a marathon four-hour game Monday night at Goss Stadium.
Wong was 1-for-7 on the day but got one when it counted most. He took an 0-1 pitch from Portland reliever Matthew Lange and pulled it through the right side, enabling Tommasini to come in with the winning run.

(SEATTLE) - Second baseman Jose Lopez led the Seattle Mariners to a 5-2 victory over the Texas Rangers in front of a sold-out crowd of 46,334 at Safeco Field.
Lopez was instrumental in the Mariners' two-run sixth inning, which turned a one-run deficit into a one-run lead against Rangers starter Kevin Millwood, and was Jose-on-the-spot in the seventh, when he capped a three-run rally with a two-strike, two-run double just inside the third-base line.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - The Oregon State baseball team dropped the final game of a three-game series to Washington, 6-4, Sunday at Goss Stadium.
Six Oregon State pitchers combined to allow just six hits, but the Huskies managed six runs off eight walks. The Huskies scored two runs in the top of the third inning on a run scoring double and a wild pitch coming from Oregon State starting pitcher Jorge Reyes, bringing the score to 2-1 in favor of the Huskies.

(KENNEWICK, Wash.) - Willamette University and Whitworth University had to travel 145 miles from Spokane, Wash., to Kennewick, Wash., before their Northwest Conference baseball series started a day later than expected.
Even so, the trip paid off for both teams as they split a doubleheader on Sunday, March 30 at La Pierre Field. The Bearcats won the first game, 9-4. Whitworth took the second game, 6-5.
