(SEATTLE) - The Orioles won a thrilling game and may have lost a key arm Thursday night, when Adam Loewen worked the second shortest start of his career and admitted a case of left forearm pain later in the evening.
Baltimore overcame Loewen's brief outing to earn an 8-7 win, but now it must contemplate its rotation without the former first-round pick. Seattle (11-12) got on the board with a home run by Adrian Beltre in the second inning, and Loewen loaded the bases on two hits and a walk in the third.

As an assistant coach, Stewart helped lead a turnaround of the Brown program as the Bears recorded a school-record 19 victories last season and earned their fourth-ever post-season tournament berth.

(NEW YORK) - The New York Jets have traded defensive tackle Dewayne Robertson to the Denver Broncos for a conditional 2009 draft choice, coach Mike Shanahan announced Thursday.
Robertson (6-foot-1, 310 pounds) is a sixth-year player who joins the Broncos after playing his first five professional seasons with the Jets. New York selected him with the fourth overall pick of the 2003 NFL Draft from the University of Kentucky.

Kasey Kuenzli (Sr., Corvallis, Ore.) received first team honors while teammates Kelli Sides (Sr., Redmond, Ore.) and Sallie Katter (Soph., Salem, Ore.) received second team all-star acclaim. Kuenzli was awarded her third NWC all-star recognition, including the 2006 Player of the Year.

Wallace hit .474 (9 of 19) as Willamette split a doubleheader with the University of Puget Sound on April 14 and won three out of four games against Whitworth University on April 19-20. She recorded at least one hit in five of the six games and had two hits four times. She scored at least one run in every game.
