(NEWBERG, Ore. ) - The Willamette University volleyball team won two of the first three games, but host George Fox University rallied to win the Northwest Conference match, 3-2, on Friday.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Corban's women's volleyball team ended a two-match losing streak in dominating fashion on Friday night with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-21, 30-16) victory over the Lady Thunderbirds of Cascade at the Thunderdome to pushes its conference record to 4-3 and move into fourth place in the CCC standings.
After dropping back-to-back three-game matches to Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon last weekend, the Warriors began their two matches in the Rose City with a three-game sweep of its own behind a match-high 16 kills from junior Rashelle Davenport. Read Full Article

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Senior midfielder Caleb Louvier scored the Warriors' lone goal, but Corban's men's soccer team ended a double overtime contest with a 1-1 tie against the Geoducks of The Evergreen State College on Friday at Warrior Field to record their second tie in the past four games.
In what was a very physical first half of play, Evergreen was called for a foul in the penalty box when the Geoducks' Joshua Hacker took down Louvier therefore awarding the Warriors a penalty kick just over eight minutes into the game. Read Full Article

(SEATTLE) - Mariners general manager Bill Bavasi and manager John McLaren will be back for the 2008 season, Mariners chief executive Howard Lincoln told reporters Thursday.
While Seattle did miss the playoffs for a sixth consecutive season despite a payroll that was among the top six in baseball, the team competed in the American League West all year and was 20 games over .500 in late August. Read Full Article
