PORTLAND, Ore. - Corban's women's volleyball team ended a two-match losing streak in dominating fashion on Friday night with a 3-0 (30-22, 30-21, 30-16) victory over the Lady Thunderbirds of Cascade at the Thunderdome to pushes its conference record to 4-3 and move into fourth place in the CCC standings.

After dropping back-to-back three-game matches to Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon last weekend, the Warriors began their two matches in the Rose City with a three-game sweep of its own behind a match-high 16 kills from junior Rashelle Davenport.

Along with Davenport, junior Chelsea Reeher and freshman Teri Braun added 12 and 7 kills respectively.

Besides her match high in kills, Davenport also recorded a match and career-high .560 hitting percentage thanks to committing a mere two attack errors in 25 attempts.

"We seemed to completely dominate tonight's match," said first-year head coach Heather Dunn. "We never let Cascade get on any kind of role, as we would stop any type of mini-run that they went on and then use the attacking power of Rashelle and Chelsea. Everyone played a part in tonight's win and hopefully we can use this as a spring board for our next few matches."

Sophomore setter Amy Thompson handed out a match-high 38 assists for Corban, while junior Margo Wyatt registered a match-high 16 digs from the back row to go along with senior Caylin Bankston's 9 and Reeher's 8.

On the defensive side of the net, Reeher and Braun each recorded a pair of blocks, as Reeher registered two solo blocks and Braun recorded a solo block and an assist block on the night.

Cascade was led by Meagan Stanley's team-high 8 kills, while Vanessa Fleetwood and Amanda Cochran added 7 and 5 kills respectively.

Claire Van Meer handed out a team-high 20 assists for Cascade, while the Thunderbirds' Rachel Fleetwood anchored Cascade's back line with a team-high 10 digs.

With the win, Corban moves to 6-7 overall, 4-3 in Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

Meanwhile, Cascade drops to 3-9 overall, 1-6 in CCC action.

The Warriors are back in action on Saturday, when they conclude play in Portland against the Knights of Warner Pacific College beginning at 7:00 p.m.
