LaMarcus Aldridge had 21 points and six rebounds for the Blazers, while Channing Frye, acquired as part of a draft-night trade that sent forward Zach Randolph to the New York Knicks, had 15 points.

(CONCORD, N.C.) - Residents of North Carolina's Wilkes County payed homage to their hometown hero, Benny Parsons, by naming a portion of U.S. Highway 421 in honor of the 1973 NASCAR champion.
The "Benny Parsons Highway" was unveiled today during a dedication ceremony.
The five-mile stretch of road runs from the Maple Springs community to the Watauga County Line. "Benny loved his hometown and moving back here meant everything to him. He would be overjoyed by this," said Terri Parsons, Benny's wife. Read Full Article

The appeal concerned three penalties issued by NASCAR following post-race inspection on Sept. 23 for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series event at Dover International Speedway. Corban remains undefeated (6-0) away from the Capitol City this season including a season sweep in the Rose City thanks to wins over Cascade, Warner Pacific, and Concordia.

(SALEM, Ore.) - For the second time this year, junior goalkeeper James DelCastillo was named Cascade Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as the 5-foot-11 net-minder helped lead Corban to a 3-1 victory over cross-town rival Willamette in the Capitol Cup game.
So far this season, DelCastillo has allowed a mere nine goals in 565 minutes and 30 seconds and leads the team with a 1.43 Goals Against Average (GAA).
