Martell Webster led Portland with 19 points.

(DENVER) - blazers logoCarmelo Anthony had 22 points and seven rebounds and the Denver Nuggets beat the Portland Trail Blazers 118-102 on Friday night.

Linas Kleiza added 19 points for Denver. Allen Iverson scored 17 points in the game, played at the University of Colorado.

Sophomore Rachel Rourke recorded her eighth 20-plus kills match of the season, third in conference play, with 25 total, marking the only Oregon State player in double-digits for kills.

The Trojans moved to 9-1-1 (1-0 Pac-10) on the season, while Oregon fell to 7-5 (0-1).

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Nicole DobrzynskiOregon found its defense, but could not muster much offensively as No. 13 USC’s fourth-minute goal stood up for a 1-0 Trojan win Friday at McAlister Field in the Pac-10 opener for both teams.

Janessa Currier scored the only goal of the match 3:11 into the first period off a USC throw-in in the Ducks’ end of the field. Megan Ohai and Kasey Johnson assisted on the play.

No. 6 USC Dominates No. 19 Oregon

USC held Oregon to a season-low .132 attacking percentage.

(LOS ANGELES) - Heather MeyersThe 19th-ranked Oregon women’s volleyball team was unable to break its losing streak on Friday night, dropping its fourth straight to No. 6 USC, 0-3 (25-30, 20-30, 26-30) at the Lyon Center.

All five of Oregon’s losses in the Pac-10 have come to top 10 teams, and Friday’s match was just the second time all season Oregon has been swept by an opponent.

The Beavers have been successful of late at Cal’s Memorial Stadium winning three straight, but this is not the same Cal team that the Beavers have faced before. In 2005, the last meeting between the two programs in Berkeley, OSU upset No. 18 Cal 23-20.
