(AVONDALE, Ariz.) - Friday night had transitioned into Saturday afternoon, but Kyle Busch's result stayed the same in the NASCAR Busch Series ARIZONA.TRAVEL 200 at Phoenix International Raceway.
Busch steered the No. 5 Chevrolet to the lead for 132 of 203 laps - including the final 86 - to win his fourth Busch Series race of 2007 and gain the 11th checkered flag of his career.

(ESTACADA, Ore. ) - Willamette University won the women’s and men’s team titles, and Sarah Zerzan claimed her third consecutive individual championship, at the NCAA Division III Cross Country West Regional at McIver Park in Estacada, Ore. on Saturday.
Zerzan won the women’s 6-kilometer race with a time of 20:51.65 and was followed by Maddie Coffman in second place at 21:40.85.

Wildcats starting quarterback Aaron Boehme passed for five touchdowns - all in the first half - while completing 14 of 17 attempts in his major assignment.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Ashley Allen scored a career-high 25 points and Talisa Rhea posted 18 in her first career game as the Oregon State women’s basketball team opened the 2007-08 season with a 73-64 victory over Cal Poly Saturday afternoon at legendary Gill Coliseum.
The win marked the Beavers’ 10th straight opening-day victory. Mercedes Fox-Griffin posted 12 points to go with four assists, while Tiffany Ducker, in her first regular season game since the 2005-06 season, was 5-of-8 from the floor for 10 points for the Beavers. Read Full Article

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Pacific Lutheran University built a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, then held of Willamette University for a 17-10 win on Saturday in a Northwest Conference game at McCulloch Stadium.
For PLU, Chase Reed scored on a 7-yard run with 3:25 left in the first period and Greg Ford reached the end zone on a 91-yard pass from Brett Gordon on the final play of the opening period.

(ASHLAND, Ore.) - In its next-to-last match of the season, Corban's women's volleyball team dropped a three-game match (25-30, 17-30, 17-30) to the NAIA's No. 10-ranked Raiders of Southern Oregon despite a team-high 11 kills from junior Chelsea Reeher and 10 kills from junior Rashelle Davenport.
Along with her team-high in kills, Reeher also added a match-high seven blocks (five solo, two assist) in helping the Warriors' defense registered a combined 9.0 team blocks.
