Willamette's Sarah Zerzan Wins Third NCAA-DIII West Regional Crown

By winning the Regional titles, Willamette earned automatic berths into the NCAA Division III National Championships in St. Olaf, Minn., on Saturday, Nov. 17.

ESTACADA, Ore. - Willamette University won the women’s and men’s team titles, and Sarah Zerzan claimed her third consecutive individual championship, at the NCAA Division III Cross Country West Regional at McIver Park in Estacada, Ore. on Saturday.

The Willamette women achieved first place with a score of 43 and the Bearcat men won with a score of 50.

Zerzan won the women’s 6-kilometer race with a time of 20:51.65 and was followed by teammate Maddie Coffman in second place at 21:40.85.

Ian Batch was the top finisher for the WU men’s team, as he took fifth place with a time of 25:04.65 over the 8-kilometer course.
