In a tweet, Human Rights Ambassador William Nicholas Gomes has asked Ajmal Masroor, London based Imam and broadcaster, Imam Zaid Shakir is amongst the most respected and influential Islamic scholars in the West, Abdullah Hasan, Imam (NMIC), Islamic Advisor, Nour-DV, Youth & Marriage Counselor, Shari'ah Consultant, Islamic Shari'ah Council (ISCR), London, Rochdale (UK), Mufti Ismail Menk, Muslim Scholar. Studied in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. Authentic teachings, Yasir Qadhi, Islamic Theologian & Scholar | Dean of Academic Affairs, AlMaghrib and Usama Hasan, Senior Researcher, Quilliam Foundation.

Human Rights Ambassador William Nicholas Gomes further replied and invited the intellectuals for further discussion based on Holy Quran. William Nicholas Gomes mentioned specific verses of Holy Quran that includes Surah Al-E-Imran 3:144 -145, Surah Al-Ahzab 33:40-41, Surah Ad-Dukhan 44:2

Surah Al-Fath 48:29-30, Surah Al-Araf 7:157-158, Surah Al-Tawba 9:61, Surah Al-Tawba 9:117, Surah Al-Ahzab 33:1-13, Surah Al-Ahzab 33:45, Surah Al-Ahzab 33:53.

Our human rights ambassador William Nicholas Gomes said while the Bangladesh government is trying to promote anti Islam sentiment and promote Islamophobia for narrow political benefit, notable Islamic personalities can play vital role by discussing and describing from the Holy Quran that Islam is not against democracy.
