Discrimination in United Arab Emirates with TB Patients and NOT TB (Zero TB) People

Brutal law of deportation on an assumption based T.B scar in United Arab Emirates.

Deported: Charanjeet Singh, now in Delhi, failed the fitness test in Dubai
United Arab Emirates

(NEW DELHI) - My name is Charanjeet Singh, an Indian national.

In March 2013, I received employment in a law firm in D.I.F.C. (Dubai International Financial Centre), when I appeared for medical test at al Muhaisna medical centre (A part of Dubai D.H.A i.e (Dubai Health Authority), suspected that i have old T.B scar and I was deported immediately without giving me, a right to appeal.

Neither I, while working and staying in my home country or Dubai, nor my parents had any kind of T.B infection in their lifetime.

I went to A.I.I.M.S (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) hospital at New Delhi and done all my checkups i.e. Skin test (Mantoux) twice, Chest x-ray, Blood test, 3 times Sputum test and a Chest C.T Scan too on special advise by senior doctor to have a close look at the scar.

Based on my test reports, A.I.I.M.S issued me the Certificate stating that I do not have any active T.B. Senior doctors (A.I.I.M.S) asked me why did they deported you when there is no sign of T.B in our body??

Dubai Health Authority was not ready to give me anything about my sickness in written.

I ask International Health Authorites, does a patient has no right to claim his or her own medical reports ?

Latest report of December 2013 at Asia’s well knownTuberculosis Hospital in New Delhi i.e.(L R S - T.B Hospital) have checked my all reports and done my chest x-ray and culture test thrice at their hospital. All reports are negative as on date.

I really felt humiliation from U.A.E and felt depressed about this brutal and outdated law of deporting the patients just like a prisoner after he completes his punishment. I never expected this kind of behavior from U.A.E as happened with me.

http://www.thenational.ae/news/uae-news/health/deportation-laws-reform-lies-dormant clearly mentioned by Dr. Mario Raviglione (Director at W.H.O), this is absolute discrimination and it is major issue of Human Rights.

Assuming the current scenario in the future, how can i suggest my Indian brothers and sisters to work or visit U.A.E.

I have lost a lot because of an outdated law, I wish from my core - no one should face the same in their life without any reason.

Medical support is zero (0) in United Arab Emirates. Only walking horses are kept, those who have scars on their chest are kicked out of the race course.

I have raised an online petition to get support from general public. Here is the link for your information:-

I am feeling ashamed to say about the health support given in United Arab Emirates.

It seems humanity has gone away from the laws existing in U.A.E.I can feel my pain as well as for others, but D.H.A. or U.A.E is least bothered to take any step on this.

I hope for the necessary action to be taken on this matter at the earliest.
