(PORTLAND, OR) - Gilad Atzmon spoke in Portland, Oregon Feb 22, 2014. The evening began at the Lucky Labrador on Hawthorne Blvd, with a thorough overview of Gilad's position on the Jewish state of Israel, the oppression of Palestine and what is behind it all.

It was a terrific mix of people with unique and interesting perspectives to share.

We then caravaned about a mile to the Thorne Lounge, where we were graced with the pleasure of Gilad's superior saxophone magic. He is a world-acclaimed Jazz saxophonist and composer.

Having played on stage with music greats such as Paul McCartney and Sinead O'Connor, he was a member of the Blockheads (remember "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll"?).

His group, the Orient House Ensemble, recently launched their latest album SONGS OF THE METROPOLIS to rave reviews.

He speaks to groups around the world and teaches workshops across Europe.

He produces albums for other musicians, and spends his valuable time writing, publishing numerous political, and developing cultural and ethical essays.

He is absolutely one of the GREATS. ♥

Thank you Gilad Atzmon, and the wonderful folks that helped make this appearance possible.
