(GENEVA) - Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Prof. Gamini Lakshman Peiris, who arrived in Geneva two days ago, has been dropped from the speakers' list at the high level segment of 19th session of the UNHRC. A week ago UNHRC extranet published Mr. Peiris as the speaker from Sri Lanka at the high level segment. By yesterday (Feb. 21), however, Minister of Plantation Industries, Mahinda Samarasinghe has replaced Minister G.L. Peiris. Minister Samarasinghe will address the UNHRC on Feb. 27th at 3.10pm according to draft provisional speakers’ list published online by the UNHCR. At the same time, Trans National Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) will be having a protest demonstration in front of the UNHRC, Geneva. Organisers expect that around 2000 Tamils living in Europe will be gathered for the demonstration. Special thanks to the Sri Lanka Daily Mirror
