Apr-21-2010 21:11TweetFollow @OregonNews Monsanto: Not just Dioxin - But PCB's as WellChuck Palazzo Salem-News.com...and genetically engineered seeds, forced bankruptcies, suicides - the list continues and grows daily!
(DA NANG, Vietnam) - Monsanto has no, I repeat NO regard for human life or our environment. They continue to destroy both with only one goal in mind: Corporate earnings and profit. Please read about the latest PCB issue brought on by Monsanto in Montana from the Great Lakes Tribune[1]. Do you realize how much money Monsanto earned in 2009? Over $11 billion! How much money Monsanto spent on SAVING human lives from the horrific deaths and illnesses associated with Agent Orange? $0! No typo folks, and no sarcasm - these are facts obtainable through the public domain. They spent over $9 million in lobbying efforts - all in their favor - none for the victims! Monsanto has close to $2 billion in free cash! That means they have almost $2 billion in cash that they could do anything they please with - it will line their executives' pockets and be used to perpetuate the human and ecological suffering! Is this a David and Goliath battle? One would say yes, and I certainly agree. However, we are on the correct side of this fight, the moral side, the side that saves lives, the side that tries to protect our environment. As with David, Goliath must and will perish. If you have not done so already, stop purchasing and spraying Roundup - boycott all products from Monsanto, from Dow, from all the rest. Support the correct cause - not one of corporate greed. I lobby, I volunteer, I write, I try to help the victims of Agent Orange - here in Vietnam as well as in my own US and all of the other countries that were and are so atrociously affected by the evils of Agent Orange and those who manufactured it. If all would just stop buying Roundup; that one product alone contributed over $4 billion in sales in 2009. $4 billion, friends - an unimaginable number but one that we can affect in a positive way for the victims, for the people! Stop buying it - a simple solution, but one that apparently is being ignored by us. Please help. Please stop buying their products. Complacency is just as bad, if not worse than the evil created by the producers of Agent Orange. Chuck Palazzo has spent years since the war studying the impacts and effects of Agent Orange, a defoliant chemical sprayed by the U.S. govt. on the jungles of Vietnam. He says Dioxins have been re-discovered to cause all sorts of damage to humans. These include Heart Disease, Parkinsonism, Diabetes etcetera. Dioxins are already known to produce serious birth defects and a variety of cancers. The chemical is still sold in Third World Countries and causing the same problems. We at Salem-News.com welcome Chuck aboard and look forward to sharing more of his stories with our readers in the future.

Thanks, many of the GMO seeds are modified to be immune to vast quantities of Roundup. I agree, Roundup is one of the main products we can boycott. Don't buy anything from these toxic companies. And speaking of Boycotts, I recently went to the Boycott Israel page and read through the products list for each company. To my horror, I found that I had purchased sox from Timberland and yogurt from Dannon. It is good to look over the product lists of these nasty companies who promote and profit from human rights violations and poisoning of the earth. It takes a conscious effort to boycott the corporations but one way to get a leg up on this problem is to buy locally from your independent organic grocer and other non chain stores.
