Law Enforcement for Youth is gearing up for the 2010 Shop with a Cop

(Salem, Oregon) - Law Enforcement for Youth Law Enforcement for Youth is gearing up for the 2010 Shop with a Cop. Our Shop with a Cop program provides an opportunity for local youth in need to partner with a law enforcement officer to shop together for a holiday gift. Law Enforcement for Youth provides each youth participant with a $25.00 gift card.

This event is a great opportunity for youth to develop a positive relationship with the law enforcement community. Many of the participants may also be recieving their only holiday present.

Shannon Tavares (In Memorial) The Lion King

Shannon's contributions in this lifetime were amazing.

(CLEVELAND) - Shannon Tavares Broadway Actress Shannon Tavares, who performed in “The Lion King”, who was 11-years old, died Monday after losing a battle with leukemia. The news was confirmed by her family Monday.

After experiencing lower back and leg pain, Shannon was diagnosed last April with acute myeloid leukemia, which is also known as AML.

Oregon’s Senator Jeff Merkley urged Oregonians to submit their stories and opinions relating to the sale, distribution, and use of tobacco candy to the FDA.

“Tobacco candy poses two significant threats to our children,” Merkley said.

AMBER Alert Activated Over Reported Child Abduction in Spokane

Authorities say that the children may be in the company of Chad Phillips, a 33-year old white male, who may be traveling in a 1996 Dark Green Chevrolet Monte Carlo vehicle.

(SPOKANE, Wash.) - Dawson Phillips, Kaleb Phillips and Bishop Phillips The AMBER Alert System has been activated for a missing children's case out of Spokane, Washington.

Washington State Patrol reports that they are looking for children who were last seen at W 1100 Mallon in Spokane, Wash. They believe these children are in danger.
