Power Line Crews Restore More Oregon Storm OutagesSalem-News.comSoutheast Portland, Beaverton, and the Portland West Hills still have concentrations of more than 1,000 customers without power. (SALEM, Ore.) -
PGE crews say they have cut the outage totals by more than half during the past two hours. The utility reports about 16,000 without power right now, down from about 35,000 during the noon-hour.

300 Power Workers are Repairing Wind Damaged Parts of OregonSalem-News.comThe number without power has grown significantly in Southeast Portland in Washington County over the past two hours. (SALEM, Ore.) -
PGE now has almost 300 personnel working to restore power, with 67 repair crews in the field. The number of outages is at 31,000 -- having hit 35,000 in the past hour.

Semi Trailer Rolled Over by Strong Winds on I-84Salem-News.comThe crash blocked the westbound lanes of I-84 at first, but passing tow trucks were in a good position to clear the scene and get traffic moving. (PENDLETON, Ore.) -
Severe cross winds were a factor Monday morning police say, in causing an empty semi-trailer to roll onto its side against a guardrail westbound Interstate 84 about 14 miles east of Pendleton.

Fatal Crash Near Klamath Falls Involved 18 VehiclesSalem-News.comThe early Monday morning multi-vehicle fatal traffic crash occurred during limited visibility conditions on Highway 97 about six miles north of the Oregon/California border. (KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) -
Police say a fatal crash near the California border involved at least 18 vehicles. Several drivers who narrowly avoided becoming part of the collision remained on scene. Police say low visibility was the reason for the tragic incident.
