Keizer Police Fault Tree in Friday Afternoon Crash

No, it isn't a belated April Fool's joke.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Keizer Police say a large tree struck a motor vehicle in the 4500 block of Shoreline Drive North Friday at about 4:30 p.m.

Captain Jeff Kuhns with Keizer PD, says officers found the driver and passenger had already exited the vehicle, a 1991 Toyota Previa, and were not complaining of any serious medical problems.

Gresham Police Seek Public`s Help in Fatal Shooting

Police want to know if anyone witnessed a black Audi near the crime scene.

(GRESHAM) - Gresham Police were called out March 31, 2010 at 7:47 p.m. to check the welfare of an individual slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 2000 block of SE 182nd.

Upon arrival, they found 21-year old Kalewa Jacob "Jake" Kaluna of Portland, deceased behind the wheel of a black 1998 Audi A8 4-door sedan.

Many in the crowd wore masks. Their anger over the police officer-involved shootings in recent months came on the second month anniversary of Aaron Campbell's shooting.

Fatal Crash Takes One Student`s Life and Injures Three

Unusual in this report, are the names of two female soldiers who died in Iraq. One, a NW soldier, died when her base was attacked by rocket fire. The second female soldier died from injuries suffered during a vehicle crash.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The fighting in both Afghanistan and Iraq continues to claim many American lives. This report includes the names of seventeen members of the U.S. military who paid the ultimate price. Their deaths occurred between 5 March and 24 March 2010.

Of the seventeen, 11 were U.S. Army soldiers, 5 were U.S. Marines, and one Navy SEAL was also lost.

Driver Arrested Following Fatal Traffic Crash North of Salem

One driver, 58-year old Alan J. Olson of Salem, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
