Two Dead, Three Injured after Car Plunges into Molalla River

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - police car night The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is still investigating a single vehicle crash near Molalla, Oregon that killed two people, and sent three others to the hospital.

Clackamas County Sheriff's Office spokesman Deputy Ben Frazier says deputies were called out to the crash just after 8:00 p.m. on S Molalla Forest Road and they found that a passenger vehicle had gone off the road, went down a steep 100 foot embankment and ended up in the Molalla River.

High Speed Motorcycle Race Kills Gresham Man

Police are still searching for the second motorcyclist who reportedly left the scene after the crash.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Oregon Motorcycle Crash A Gresham man is dead after he crashed his motorcycle in what police believe may have been a high speed race with another motorcyclist Thursday afternoon.

The reports coming into deputies was that the motorcycle had been travelling at speeds near 100 mph before it crashed.

ODOT Crews Work Quickly to Fix Sinkhole on Highway 219

By next week, ODOT says the highway will go into the regular maintenance schedule for repair.

(ST. PAUL, Ore. ) - Oregon Sinkhole Oregon Department of Transportation crews braved the overnight thunderstorm that passed overhead as they filled a sinkhole on Oregon Highway 219 east of St. Paul.

ODOT maintenance staff upon arrival found the hole which was about two feet deep, and spent the night filling and patching it with what is called a cold patch for the weekend.

Salem Police Issue 50 Tickets During Crosswalk Safety Campaign

This safety campaign was conducted in partnership with Oregon Impact in order to address pedestrian and crosswalk safety.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Oregon Police The Salem Police Department conducted a four-hour pedestrian crosswalk project on Wednesday on Commercial Street NE at Columbia Street.

This location has a marked, painted crosswalk, police said. Eight officers participated in the project which included an officer dressed in plain clothes who crossed the street in the crosswalk.

Dallas, Ore. Man Killed in Crash Near Wilsonville

Oregon State Police would still like to talk with any witnesses who saw this crash occur.

(WILSONVILLE, Ore. ) - Wilsonville Car Crash Oregon State Police troopers are on scene investigating Friday's single vehicle fatal traffic crash off the northbound shoulder of Interstate 5 about three miles south of Wilsonville.

Oregon State Police spokesman Lt. Gregg Hastings says at approximately 11:55 a.m., a 1993 Buick Regal four-door driven by 48-year-old Emuel Smothers, from Dallas, Oregon, was northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 281 in the far right lane.

Colton Fire Chief Injured in Accident on Ore. Highway 211

Chief Beaudoin, 49, drove onto the shoulder, lost control and crashed into the embankment on the east side of the highway facing northbound in the southbound lane.

(MOLALLA, Ore. ) - Fire Chief of Colton Crash Oregon State Police is continuing their investigation into Thursday night's two vehicle traffic crash along Highway 211 west of Molalla that resulted in minor injuries to the Fire Chief of Colton Fire District.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., Colton Fire Chief Richard Beaudoin, was traveling southbound on Highway 211 near milepost 6 in the department's marked 1990 GMC Yukon when he reportedly took evasive action to avoid an unidentified passenger car coming into his traffic lane in the opposite direction.

UPDATE: Beaverton Woman Killed While Crossing Ore. Highway 211

One of the women safely made it across but the second woman was struck by a westbound 1982 Volvo four-door station wagon.

(WOODBURN, Ore. ) - Oregon State Police Oregon State Police is continuing the investigation into Saturday morning's fatal pedestrian involved traffic crash that occurred along Highway 211 about five miles east of Woodburn.

According to Sergeant Jason Lindland at approximately 4:35 a.m., two adult females were walking eastbound on the eastbound shoulder of Highway 211 near Rock Creek Bridge between S. Barlow Road and S. Needy Road.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Marion County Road Work The Marion County Public Works Department wants you to BE AWARE! of upcoming slurry seal work taking place throughout the county.

Marion County’s contractor, Blackline Inc., will slurry seal various Marion County roads beginning on Monday through July 24. The streets selected to receive slurry seal are located in or near Hubbard/Aurora, East Salem, Aumsville, and Chinook Estates.
