Charges include 1st degree Manslaughter, two counts of Pointing a Firearm at Another, and one count of Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

(SALEM, Ore.) - 18-year old Bo Dean Todd Investigators with the Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Silverton Police Department have arrested 18-year old Bo Dean Todd in relation to the February 27, 2010 shooting death of 22-year old Mark Patrick Berry, according to Deputy District Attorney Paige Clarkson.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Crash on Hazelgreen Road in Marion County, Ore. 12-22-09 Marion County deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash Monday night just before 8:30 p.m. in the 7900 block of Hazelgreen Road NE.

According to witnesses and the Marion County Crash Team, a silver 4-door 2009 Kia was traveling westbound on Hazelgreen Road NE when it left the roadway.

Salem Police Arrest Teacher for Sex Abuse

(SALEM, Ore.) - 46-year old Susan Christina Alderson Salem Police detectives arrested a Silverton teacher yesterday in connection with an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse with a child.

Lt. Steve Birr with Salem Police says 46-year old Susan Christina Alderson, a 6th grade teacher at Robert Frost Elementary School in Silverton, was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant was served at her home in the 2100 block of Robins Lane SE in Salem at about 10:30 a.m. "Alderson is alleged to have had an ongoing sexual relationship between 2002 and 2006 with a boy who was 13 years of age when it began. The victim was not one of her students," Birr said.

Silver Falls Bank of Silverton, Oregon, was closed today by the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services.

(Salem) - bank closed To protect the depositors, the FDIC entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with Citizens Bank of Corvallis, to assume all of the deposits of Silver Falls Bank.

As of February 9, 2009, Silver Falls Bank had total assets of approximately $131.4 million and total deposits of $116.3 million. Citizens Bank did not pay a premium to acquire the deposits of Silver Falls Bank.
