Ad Hoc Parade in Downtown Silverton, Oregon Just Weeks Away

(SILVERTON, Ore.) - The Second Annual International AdHoc Parade is scheduled for Saturday August 1st at 2:00 p.m. in Silverton, Oregon. Silverton Mayor Stu Rassmussen, says it will be a fun and exciting afternoon event for the whole family. "There is no entry fee, no application, just show up and you're in the parade!" Rassmussen said.

"Drive your car, walk, ride your tractor, combine, bicycle or unicycle, march, tap dance, whatever - just come out and have some fun on a summer Saturday afternoon."

Silverton's Mayor says the free parade August 9th starts at the Corner of Oak and Water Streets and continues one block to the corner of Water and Main.

He encourages you to bring your camera, and maybe even take a picture of yourself in the parade. Rassmussen added one more thing to make parade particupation irrestable, "Every entrant receives a lovely certificate suitable for framing." He says they are hoping for a great turnout of spectators.
