Mother of Physical Abuse Victim Arrested

Brandy's boyfriend, Michael Shane Abo, was arrested on January 4th, 2014, after investigators concluded he had caused injuries to the boy.

(MCMINNVILLE) - Brandy Lynn Robertson McMinnville Police Department detectives have arrested Brandy Lynn Robertson on charges of Criminal Mistreatment and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

The case involves her four year old son who was transported to Oregon Health Science University on New Year's Eve after suffering a traumatic brain injury, as well as other traumatic injuries to his body.

(SALEM) - Alleged four year old victim of Michael Abo "They don't want the image of a little boy to be shown because he is so brutalized, they don't want the American public to know what he looks like." Those words from a family friend of a four-year old boy who was beaten to within an inch of his life by an Oregon police officer.

McMinnville Police say investigators believe that the injuries to the 4 year old were a result of physical abuse caused by a police officer named Michael Abo.

Former Deputy Arrested for Criminal Mistreatment and Assault, Four Year Old in Critical Condition‏

The 4 year old boy, the son of Michael Abo's girlfriend, was transported to OHSU via Life Flight helicopter and remains in critical condition. Investigators believe that the injuries to the 4 year old were a result of physical abuse caused by Mr. Abo.

(MCMINNVILLE) -  The 4 year old boy, the son of Michael Abo's girlfriend, was transported to OHSU via Life Flight helicopter and remains in critical condition. Michael Shane Abo, 29 years of age, was arrested early this morning during the execution of a search warrant at 420 NW Evans Street in Sheridan, Oregon.

Abo was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Yamhill County Correctional Facility.

Joshua Nordman: Victim or Criminal?

He apparently made no attempt to hide his identity from the security cameras and was apprehended without incident a little more than two hours later at his home.

Under our system of law, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty, but in this case, I doubt that anyone would dispute the facts as just presented.
