(PORTLAND, OR) - POZ Magazine Top 100 POZ magazine, an award-winning print and online brand for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, today announced the fourth annual POZ 100.

This year, POZ asked individuals and organizations to nominate an HIV-positive person in their community who is an unsung hero in the fight against AIDS.

Portland Police Seek Public Feedback

"This is a unique opportunity to receive feedback from those who have direct encounters with police officers." - Chief Michael Reese.

(PORTLAND OR) - Portland Oregon Police On September 10, 2013, the Portland Police began participating in a long-term study asking community members who have had a recent encounter with a Portland Police Officer to complete a short survey.

The survey, which is managed by the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), involves sending letters to people who may have reported a crime, or been involved in a traffic stop or traffic collision.

Its purpose was to obtain: “the names, addresses, telephone numbers, birth dates, Oregon Driver's License numbers or other Government Issued ID numbers for Patients, Growers and Caregivers in the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program database or files," according to the written warrant viewable online.

Groundbreaking Portland State University Study Sheds Light on Child Sex Trafficking

The average victim was 15.5 years old. The youngest was 8.

(PORTLAND, OR) - Child sex trafficking A study from Portland State University (PSU) unveiled Monday by U.S. Attorney Amanda Marshall showed that than 469 children in the Portland metro area received social services for commercial sexual exploitation over the last four years.

The study by PSU associate professor Christopher Carey and graduate student Lena Teplitsky sheds light on child sex trafficking in the Portland metro area in a way that no other study in the United States has done.

NBA Player Stomps Homeless Man

Jones yelled, 'Wake up,' and Stomped on the Mans Leg

(PORTLAND OR) - Police arrested 21-year-old Terrence Alexander Jones in Old Town early this morning.

Jones was seen stomping on a sleeping homeless man's leg at about 2:04 AM in Portland's Central precinct.

After the arrest, officers learned that Jones is currently on the roster of the Houston Rockets NBA team.

Memorial Scheduled for `Baby Precious`

Crime Stoppers has received numerous tips about the case but none of them have led to the identification of the baby's mother or how the baby came to be at the recycling center.

(PORTLAND OR) - Baby Precious A memorial celebration for "Baby Precious" has been scheduled for June 28, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. The memorial will be held at the Maranatha Church, located at 4222 Northeast 12th Avenue. An internment will follow at Riverveiw Cemetery, located at 0300 Southwest Taylors Ferry Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations of new baby items or diapers will be accepted.

1994 Cold Case Suspect to be Arrainged

Brian Hill was 26 years old when he was shot in the driveway of his residence on May 19, 1994 at approximately 10:13 p.m.

(PORTLAND OR) - Suspect 37-year-old Marvin Lee Lambert 37-year-old Marvin Lee Lambert will be arraigned on murder charges Monday in Multnomah County Court. Lambert was trans ferred to the Multnomah County Jail on June 21, 2013, from Federal custody.

On May 24, 2013, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted 37-year-old Marvin Lee Lambert on one count of Murder and one count of Felony Murder for the 1994 shooting of 26-year-old Brian Hill.
