Israel, Qatar and Turkey to Sign Trilateral Agreement for Joint Military Presence in the Persian Gulf

Building aircrafts and multi-purpose military vehicles are included.

(SALEM, Ore.) - handshake Turkey is preparing to establish its first military base abroad, according to Lale Kemal, a commentator in the newspaper Today's Zaman.

The military base will be established in Qatar. Turkey and Qatar with the support of Israel is going to begin broad cooperation in the field of military industry, the formation of the joint force and unified action in the region.

(PHILIPPINE SEA) - Logan Brown Firecontrolman 3rd class Logan Brown from McMinnville, Oregon performs erosion maintenance on the hull of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD-48).

USS Ashland is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.

Nuclear Agreement with Iran is Good for the U.S.

What was really at stake in these negotiations was international trade and U.S. prestige.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Barack Obama On July 14th, the U.S., China, France, Germany, Great Britain, and Russia reached an agreement with Iran to "to limit Tehran’s nuclear ability in return for lifting international oil and financial sanctions."

In reality, the negotiations were less about curbing nuclear proliferation and more about international trade and U.S. prestige. On balance, this Iran nuclear agreement is realistic, pragmatic and, on balance, good for the U.S.

Oregon`s Unemployment Rate Rises in June, Job Growth Continues

Three out of every five Oregonians, 16 years and over, are working or looking for work...the lowest participation rate since comparable records began in 1976.

(SALEM, Ore.) - arrow up Oregon's unemployment rate was 5.5 percent in June, a slight increase from May's rate of 5.3 percent.

The increase was not a surprise because one characteristic of Oregon's labor market following the Great Recession has been small increases in the unemployment rate during the summer months.
