Oregon Women`s Soccer Schedule Announced

The Lady Ducks will open with the Badgers of the Big Ten on Aug. 22nd, meeting Wisconsin for the second straight season.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Oregon women's soccer Head coach Kat Mertz and the Oregon women’s soccer team have announced their 2014 schedule, which consists of 19 total matches.

UO’s schedule features 10 matches at Papé Field and seven contests slated to be televised by the Pac-12 Networks.

Trio of Ducks Take Home Pac-12 Honors

Devon Allen, from Phoenix, Ariz., set a Pac-12 record in the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Championships, clocking a personal-best 13.16 seconds

(WALNUT CREEK, Calif.) - Jenna Prandini Oregon sprinter Jenna Prandini, hurdler Devon Allen and head coach Robert Johnson each were honored with Pac-12 track and field awards, the conference announced, Tuesday.

Prandini was named the Women’s Track Athlete of the Year as well as the Field Athlete of the Year, Allen was awarded the Men’s Newcomer of the Year and Johnson was tabbed both the men’s and women’s Coach of the Year.

16 Oregon Volleyball Games to be Televised

The Ducks will begin their season August 29 against Ohio State.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - The 2014 Oregon volleyball schedule will feature 16 televised matches including two in front of a national audience on ESPNU.

For the first nationally-televised match of the year, Oregon will take on Stanford, Oct. 3, followed by a match against Washington, Nov. 7, in Seattle.

Oregon Men Win NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Tanguy Pepiot (steeplechase) and Arthur Delaney (200) also scored for the UO men, who put up a meet-record 88 points.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Track Town is Title Town.

Fueled by three individual national champions Saturday, the Oregon men won their first team title at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships since 1984.

Oregon Men Take Commanding Lead at Outdoor Track & Field Championships

The 19 points for the Ducks in the event gave Oregon a commanding lead entering the final day of competition at Hayward Field

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Two nights after a similar strategy made him the NCAA Outdoor 10k champion, Edward Cheserek kicked into the lead of Friday's 5,000-meter final with about 200 to go.

This time, the man Cheserek passed was Arizona's Lawi Lalang, a seven-time NCAA champion himself. And Lalang was up to the task.

Roesler`s Title Keeps Oregon Women Atop Leaderboard

The UO women enter Saturday knowing Texas A&M lurks, but also feeling good about their chances to score in several more events.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - As the top returning runner from last year's NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and the reigning NCAA Indoor champion after her win this winter, Laura Roesler had the weight of expectation on her shoulders entering her 800-meter final Friday at Hayward Field.

Hours before the race, Roesler experienced an upset stomach. Nerves hit her again just before the starting gun was fired.

Oregon Pitching Duo Competing for Spot on Team USA Roster

Hawkins is joined by nine current collegians at the tryouts, including five other Pac-12 team members.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Former Oregon pitcher Jessica Moore and current hurler Cheridan Hawkins are two of 24 elite players competing this week in Lynchburg, Va., for a spot on this summer’s USA Softball roster.

The USA Softball Women’s National Team selection camp takes place this week with exhibition games in Virginia and Ohio starting June 13.

Skipper, Keys Lead Oregon Men (NCAA Championships Day 2 Video Re-Cap)

UO runners went 1-2 in the first heat of 1,500 qualifying, with senior Mac Fleet winning in 3:45.90.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - The Oregon men continued to hold serve Thursday in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and even got a couple of pleasant surprises at Hayward Field.

The Ducks may end up needing them, too, after the second session of the national meet ended in controversy for the host team.

Oregon`s Cheserek Wins National Title #4; Day One Video Recap

Cheserek, one of three UO men to score in the event, crossed in 28 minutes, 30.18 seconds to the delight of a roaring home crowd, becoming the first freshman to win the event since 1979.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - To the legend of Edward Cheserek, add Wednesday's final kick in the 10,000 meters of the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field.

Oregon's fabulous freshman distance runner won his fourth national title Wednesday, running comfortably with the lead group in the 10k before exploding through the final 200 meters to win.

Six Ducks to Play Summer Ball in Wood Bat Leagues

Left-handed pitcher Garrett Cleavinger is playing for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape for the second straight season.

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Six players from Oregon’s 2014 baseball team who are expected to be a part of next year’s team are competing in summer wooden back leagues around the country this summer.

Three of those Ducks are playing in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League and one each are playing in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, California Collegiate League and the West Coast League.
