This had been a great collective effort in also establishing an outreach center and library as part of its ongoing demonstrations after the first camp had been destroyed days earlier.

Two Protestors Injured Near `Occupy` Eureka

A noon rally will be held at the courthouse Monday in solidarity with Verbena Lea, a local community activist arrested while lawfully taping police.

(EUREKA, Calif.) - Occupy Eureka Sunday night One woman was injured near Occupy Eureka this evening when allegedly her head was smashed through the window of a local business by two outside agitators.

During this incident Officer Sanchez continued to demand protest signs be removed as he sat in his cruiser.

Are Police Pushing Occupy Portland Toward Violence?

So far more than 50 people have been arrested in Portland.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Occupy Portland "Impact weapons, Tear gas, pepper spray, less than lethal rounds, (A wives tale - the bullets kill and have center metal cores) police appear to be growing more threatening by the moment right now in Oregon's City of Roses. The black clad cops with their 'hard gear' are vastly outnumbered.

At least one demonstrator has received injuries from police, the number is probably much higher.

Police Square off with Demonstrators at Occupy Portland

One police officer injured and one demonstrator arrested by 3:00 a.m. Police are outnumbered, the crowd with Occupy Portland is still several thousand strong.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Demonstrators and police face to face shortly before 3:00 a.m. Sunday morning.  Police say they are authorized to use "chemical weapons" against a crowd of Occupy Portland protestors numbering somewhere between four and six thousand people.

One officer was hurt by a tossed firework; however the demonstrators themselves handed the man over to be arrested.

The crowd gathered in Portland was estimated to be six thousand at midnight.

(PORTLAND, ORE.) - Occupy Portland The Portland media is creating an environment that aids the city in its ambition to shut down the Occupy Movement. Police say they will do it at midnight, protestors say they aren't going to vacate.

Even though public officials are crying out about costs associated with the grass roots movement, donors in the city of Portland have offered to cover any costs incurred by the movement, which was self supporting and legal.

Occupy Protests and Homelessness

It would do Americans well to set aside their biases for a moment and visit the protest camps.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Homeless man People, Occupy Protests and The Face of Homeless People, including mainstream news reporters, tend to play down the significance of the protests because so many of the "protesters" are homeless, often involved with alcohol and drug abuse, used to relieve the pain.

At first, I was discouraged by this scene, but kept going back to try to understand the root causes and dynamics of the protests.

In the wee hours of the morning of Tuesday, October 18, dozens of state, municipal and possibly federal police officers raided Occupy Tijuana’s encampment in the border city’s Plaza Rio zone and arrested 27 people, mostly young professionals and students, for violating city ordinances.
