This is the sixty-first installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

(Earth XOS) - Nota Bene #61 Edgars Dilemma Even on our planet it is not uncommon for husband and wife to entertain different political perspectives. This can provoke strife, but with affection and mutual respect most marriages survive.

The last seven years for Wanda and Edgar of Earth XOS, however, have been a trial. Republican Wanda shudders each time the President which her party supports violates the democratic principles which are the foundation of their nation. Edgar has been unable to keep his opinions to himself. Now the pendulum swings the other way. Soon Edgar will find himself shuddering, and it will be Wanda's turn to fail to keep her opinions to herself.

Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 60 - Justice at Last!

This is the sixtieth installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

(Earth DCXIII) - Nota Bene #60 Justice at Last! Stop the presses (or whatever it is they do in publishing on the internet)! In viewing the parallel Earth DCXIII I, Leonardo, have made the most amazing observation. The Democrats of that world--which is ahead of us in time by some two years--have won election to the office of presidency and also have an unassailable majority in both the House and the Senate.

Yet, dear readers, incredibly enough they refuse to take office! Find out why when you read "Justice at Last!"

Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 59 - The Return of FDR XIII

This is the fifty-ninth installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

(Earth XIII) - Nota Bene #59 To see ourselves as others see us can be enlightening. To be seen and perhaps critiqued by a parallel world even more revealing. Apparently we are not alone in our perusal of parallel earths. A great leader, FDR XIII, whom we have met before* is another devotee of the multiverse browser (referred to on his world as "Otherworldly Gazing.") Gather round. He has studied us and would like to share his thoughts and observations with you.

Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 58 - Won`t Get Fooled Again

This is the fifty-eigth installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

((Earth Prime - Date unknown)) - Nota Bene #58 Wont Get Fooled Again Like any piece of electronic equipment, the Multiverse Browser has bugs and crashes. Though robust for casual use my intense, nearly industrial inspection of alternate worlds for this publication has revealed design flaws which at some time will require an update.

The most recent crash resulted in a fascinating read-out. I locked briefly on a world which by every indication is our own--only some years in the future. The results of the coming Presidential Elections are now in the past. Meet the new boss. The same as the old boss?

Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 57 - Back to School

This is the fifty-seventh installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

(Salem -- Earth Prime) - Nota Bene #57 Back to School Slow news day? This past Sunday Salem's local variant of syndicated news printed an "exposé" on how teachers who worked more got paid more. (Well duh!) To press the point they printed teachers' names and their salaries. Talk about gauche.

How, you might ask, does an editor come to the decision to publish such journalistic swill? Let us turn the Multiverse Browser on this city and peek into the inner workings of the newspaper-which-must-not-be-named.

Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 56 - Impeachment Now!

This is the fifty-sixth installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

(Earth Alpha-Zed) - Nota Bene 56 Americans across the multiverse have been outraged by the power-grabbing actions of their president. Deceit! Lies!

And yet Congress lacks the courage, the will to do their job and reign in the American dictator. What of the media? Nothing sanitizes so well as sunlight. They must have the courage to show the President that impeachment is back on the table!

Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 55 - Signs of Progress

This is the fifty-fifth installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

(Earth-K12) - Nota Bene - No. 55 Signs of Progress Propaganda, lies, deceit, corruption, power lust, politics are prevalent across the multiverse. Can the truth win? If it does not, none of the infinite variety of Earths has any hope of survival.

Republicans on Earth K12 have made the same claims as their counter-parts on our world: There are signs of progress in the war. On neither world are party members loyal to the President able to provide examples to support their fantasy. The common ordinary man (or woman, in this case) has no trouble seeing through the tissue of lies.

Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 54 - Fool on the Hill

This is the fifty-fourth installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

(Earth-K12) - Nota Bene - No. 54 - Fool on the Hill The pendulum of power swings back and forth. Having swung in one direction to the limit (and beyond), it now begins its trek in the reverse. Leaders of the extreme right now find their power fading. Caught up in the fevered cry for war their words were quite different from their speeches now. They have the difficult job of admitting their mistakes and covering for their blindness. It is not a time for recrimination. It is a time to look to the future. Join me as we listen to a back room conversation between two men of power from opposing sides.

Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 53 - What Would It Take?

This is the fifty-third installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.

(Earth Omega-Pi) - Nota Bene 53 hat Would It Take? This version of Earth varies only subtly from our own. While some names of notable persons vary slightly from those of Earth Prime, others are identical.

Another subtle but important difference between the worlds is the nature of television. Rather than falling into the slippery slope of reality TV (meaning they don't have to pay actors), Earth Omega-Pi has fallen into the slippery slope of man-on-the-street interviews (meaning they don't have to pay actors).
