Original Oregon Cartoon Series Nota Bene Celebrates One Year

Commemorating the One-Year Anniversary of Nota Bene by Leonardo, an original series.

The elusive Leonardo

(SALEM, Ore.) - It is hard to imagine that a year has passed since the first installment of Nota Bene by Leonardo, a cartoon series that dazzles our visitors with a new edition each week.

When Glen Bledsoe (A.K.A. Leonardo) first approached us with the idea of running the original series exclusively on Salem-News.com, we were thrilled. The elements that allow Nota Bene to be so relevant and creative at the same time, include his artistic touch, background as a professional educator, and an intense knowledge and study of history.

By bringing forth characters from our past, Nota Bene interprets modern events in ways never before imagined. Some of these players are reincarnated from historic figures, while others are identified as faces that graced the screens of American theaters.

It turned out that our initial impressions were right, and the series has become a widely viewed, unique entity on the Internet, creating a following all its own.

I have spent a good deal of time cruising the Web looking at similar images and the truth is, Leonardo's work has no rivals, at least in my opinion.

By hosting this series, Salem-News.com has been able to demonstrate to the rest of the state that in spite of what some people believe, the capitol city is not always trailing Portland and Eugene when it comes to creative expression. Nota Bene by Leonardo is proof of that.
