Inmate Escapes From Oregon Prison at LakeviewSalem-News.comThe inmate's sentence began in June, he had a projected release date in March. (LAKEVIEW, Ore.) -
A minimum-custody inmate escaped Friday, Sept. 21 from Warner Creek Correctional Facility in Lakeview. He was discovered missing during the 10:30 p.m. inmate count. Preliminary information indicates that he may be headed toward Bend.

Wilderness Survivor Transferred to Providence Portland Medical CenterSalem-News.comHer condition is currently being evaluated. (PORTLAND, Ore.) -
The 76-year-old woman who survived two weeks in the wilderness has now been transferred to Providence Portland Medical Center for rehabilitation therapy. An Angel Flight volunteer pilot flew Doris Anderson to Portland from Baker City, Ore. where she was initially treated at St. Elizabeth Health Services.
