Inmate Escapes From Oregon Prison at Lakeview

The inmate's sentence began in June, he had a projected release date in March.

(LAKEVIEW, Ore.) - 18-year old Chad Lee Edwards was serving 13 months for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle A minimum-custody inmate escaped Friday, Sept. 21 from Warner Creek Correctional Facility in Lakeview. He was discovered missing during the 10:30 p.m. inmate count. Preliminary information indicates that he may be headed toward Bend.

18-year old Chad Lee Edwards was serving 13 months for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle from Deschutes County, and that sentence was running concurrently with a 14-month sentence for driving with a suspended/revoked license.

(VANCOUVER, Wa.) - The Spady family is sought by police Police in Washington say they are looking for a family that fled Clark County on September 7th after the father, Jeff Spady, was charged with numerous counts of Rape of a Child 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree.

It is reported that he and his wife, Kim Spady, have their four minor children who had previously been placed in the state's custody due to the pending sexual assault case.

Oregon CAP Assisting In Search‏ for Steve Fossett

A spokesman says additional Oregon CAP aircraft and aircrews remain on standby alert to also assist in search operations.

(BROOKINGS, Ore.) - Oregon CAP pilot A Cessna 182 search aircraft and 3 man aircrew from the Oregon Wing of the U.S. Civil Air Patrol from the South Coast Unit based in Brookings, Oregon is presently involved in the search for Steven Fossett.

Lt.Col. Thomas Traver, the Oregon CAP Public Affairs Officer, says the aircraft was sent to the Nevada CAP Incident Command Center for search assignment Friday morning, "To augment aircrews who have been conducting an intensive search for the missing aviator for nearly 2 weeks."

Wilderness Survivor Transferred to Providence Portland Medical Center‏

Her condition is currently being evaluated.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Doris Anderson survived two weeks alone in the wilderness The 76-year-old woman who survived two weeks in the wilderness has now been transferred to Providence Portland Medical Center for rehabilitation therapy. An Angel Flight volunteer pilot flew Doris Anderson to Portland from Baker City, Ore. where she was initially treated at St. Elizabeth Health Services.

The Sandy, Oregon resident became lost while on a hunting trip with her husband in the Eagle Cap Wilderness Area in Eastern Oregon. She was found 13 days later on Sept. 6th.

Suspect in Brooke Wilberger Case Convicted in New Mexico on Similar Charges

Courtney was expected to go to court in Oregon in September of this year, and the conclusion of the New Mexico should allow it to remain on schedule.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com The man Oregon prosecutors believe is responsible for the disappearance of Brooke Wilberger, Joel Patrick Courtney, has pleaded guilty to Rape and Kidnapping charges in New Mexico.

Utah college student Brooke Wilberger was visiting her sister in Oregon. She disappeared from a Corvallis apartment complex May 24th, 2004.

Steve Fossett Search Enters 6th Day

Aerial search exceeds 150 flight-hours, covers more than half of 10,000-sq.-mi. area.

(MINDEN, Nev. ) - Gipplsand Airvan photo Day six of the search effort for famed aviator Steve Fossett began today, with air and ground crews from more than a dozen agencies continuing to cover the 17,000-square-mile search area in western Nevada and eastern California.

Authorities believe Fossett could have gone anywhere in that area during his flight, which began Sept. 3rd from the Flying M Ranch near Yerington, Nev.

About 26 aircraft, 230 ground searchers and one sonar-equipped boat are participating in the search.

Police Search in McMinnville May Have Led to Discovery of Christopher Lampkin`s Body

Leonardo Gonzalez was indicted for the murder of Christopher Marcus Lampkin.

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Christopher Lampkin The remains of a Salem man named Christopher Lampkin who has been missing since April 2006, may have been discovered on a farm on SW Oldsfield Road in McMinnville this week.

Information released today by Prosecutor Courtland Geyer confirms that a warrant, served by Salem Police, was related to the ongoing investigation into the murder of Christopher Marcus Lampkin, though he says a positive identification has not been made at this point.

(MINDEN, Nev.) - Citabria plane photo A lone pilot, identified as famed aviator Steve Fossett, last seen Sept. 3rd, remains missing despite early search efforts by the the U.S. Civil Air Patrol, in addition to private resources from the Flying M Ranch near Yerington, Nev.; Naval Air Station Fallon; the Nevada National Guard; and the California Highway Patrol.

According to reports from the Flying M's private airstrip, where the pilot took off Labor Day morning, he was flying a Citabria Super Decathlon single-engine aircraft with the tail number N240R.

Record Setting Pilot Steve Fossett Missing in Nevada

Fossett reportedly left a private airstrip on a ranch south of Smith Valley in western Nevada Monday. He was flying a single engine Bellanca airplane.

(RENO, Nev.) - Salem-News.com Media sources are reporting the disappearance of a small plane carrying Steve Fossett, the first pilot to fly around the world solo without refueling.

Fossett is best known for his five world record non-stop solo circumnavigations of the Earth. He is also a long-distance solo balloonist, and sailor. Chuck Allen with the Nevada Highway Patrol says there is no sign of Fossett yet, "Yesterday he left at 9:00 AM hoping to complete ground recon on a project he is working on and he never came back."

Crews Locate Missing Hikers on Larch Mountain

Two Six-Year Old Kids Among those who were found, nobody was hurt and rescuers say they were prepared for the elements.

(CORBETT, Ore.) - Oregons Larch Mountain A cell phone call from four lost hikers to a friend sent rescue crews scrambling into action Wednesday. They said they were lost in the Larch Mountain wilderness, and indicated to the friend that they had disoriented and were unable to find their way out.

Rescuers say the people had set out earlier that day to pick mushrooms and were familiar with the area south of Larch Mountain Road at MP 8.
