Volcanoes Leenhouts Baffles AquaSox Batters in 7-1 Victory

After lasting just one-third of an inning in his last outing against Hillsboro, Leenhouts struck out two in a scoreless first inning.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Entering the 11th game of the season, the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes were still in search of their first win from a starting pitcher this season.

Thanks to Drew Leenhouts, they got what they were looking for. Leenhouts tossed six scoreless innings and the Volcanoes' offense scored four runs in the fifth inning as Salem-Keizer defeated Everett 7-1 on Monday night at Volcanoes Stadium.

The Volcanoes have averaged over 100,000 fans for 17-plus seasons in Keizer since opening their gates for the inaugural season in 1997.
