Special Plans for Fan #2 Million at Volcanoes Game Saturday

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes will welcome their 2 millionth fan to Volcanoes Stadium through the gates before the game Saturday on against Everett.

The Volcanoes have averaged over 100,000 fans for 17-plus seasons in Keizer since opening their gates for the inaugural season in 1997.

The fan will be recognized as he or she enters the gates on Saturday’s game against the Everett AquaSox.

This fan will receive a variety of priceless experiences that night, including throwing the ceremonial first pitch. This lucky fan will also receive a bat and ball signed by the entire 2014 Salem-Keizer Volcanoes team along with a unique 2 millionth fan Volcanoes jersey.

After the pre-game on-field activities, this lucky 2 millionth fan will join Voice of the Volcanoes, Rob Schreier, on the game broadcast on 1490 KBZY. After the on-air interview, this fan will take in the game Volcanoes owner Jerry Walker’s private SkyBox.

The 2 millionth fan will be joined in the field alongside the first fan through the gates at Volcanoes Stadium in 1997 along with the Volcanoes’ 1 millionth fan.
