Everett Uses the Long Ball to Power Past Volcanoes

The Volcanoes take on the AquaSox in game three of the series with a special morning game.

(EVERETT, Wash. ) - Four Everett home runs, including two in the bottom of the eighth inning, powered a 7-5 win over Salem-Keizer Tuesday night in front of 1,527 at Everett Memorial Stadium.

After Jose Reyes Jake McCasland held the AquaSox to just one base runner from the third to the seventh innings, Steven Neff entered in relief for the Volcanoes up 5-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Mende Homerun Pushes Volcanoes Past Everett

The AquaSox (8-23) and Volcanoes (15-16) continue their five-game series at Everett Memorial Stadium Tuesday at 7:05.

(EVERETT, Wash. ) - Sam Mende's first hit of the night was the biggest one of the game for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.

The third baseman belted a two-run homer in the top of the tenth inning to break a 4-4 tie and lift Salem-Keizer to a 6-4 win over the Everett AquaSox at Everett Memorial Stadium Monday night.

Baserunning Errors Cost Volcanoes in 7-5 Loss

Hillsboro hopped on the board early with a three run first inning.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Salem-Keizer entered the final game of a three-game series against the Hillsboro Hops looking for their third straight series win.

Hillsboro had other ideas, as a three-run rally in the top of the eighth gave the Hops a lead they would not give back, as they went on to defeat the Volcanoes 7-5 on Sunday night at Volcanoes stadium.

Volcanoes Win Wild One over Hops, 6-5

To lead off the third inning, Mende collected his first hit as a Volcano.

(HILLSBORO, Ore. ) - It was a wild ending to another nail-biter from Ron Tonkin Field, as the Volcanoes relied on a game-ending, bases-loaded strike out from Eury Sanchez in the bottom of the ninth to claim a 6-5 victory on Saturday night.

The Volcanoes entered the home-half of the ninth inning with a 6-4 lead in hand. Salem-Keizer reliever Eury Sanchez surrendered a two-out ground-rule double to Hops' nine-hole hitter Justin Gonzalez on a ball that bounced off of the outfield turf and cleared the outfield wall.

Hops Down Volcanoes, 7-4

Salem-Keizer struck first, scoring in the first three innings.

(HILLSBORO, Ore. ) - The Volcanoes entered Friday evening's contest just three games back of the Hops in the Northwest League South Division standings; a win would move them one step closer to clinching a playoff berth with a first-half championship.

Hillsboro had other plans, however, as they scored four two-out runs in the bottom of the eighth to walk away from Ron Tonkin field with a 7-4 victory.

Volcanoes Use 4-Run Rally to Defeat Eugene

The Volcanoes head north to Hillsboro to battle the first place Hops Friday night.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Thursday night provided a back and forth contest at Volcanoes Stadium, but Salem-Keizer was able to break through permanently with a four run rally in the bottom of the sixth, as the Volcanoes defeated the Eugene Emeralds 6-5.

Two of those runs came off the bat of Tyler Hollick, who slapped a double down the left field line with two outs.

Emeralds Hold Off Volcanoes, 8-6

Coming off of three impressive outings, Drew Leenhouts struggled from the get-go.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Through six innings at Volcanoes Stadium, the Eugene Emeralds had a comfortable eight-run lead largely in part to two early home runs.

However, Salem-Keizer's offense arrived in the seventh inning and gave the Em's a run for their money in front of a crowd of 2,192 on Wednesday evening.

Hops Rally to Down Volcanoes, 11-9

Salem-Keizer looks for another series win as the Eugene Emeralds come into town, Tuesday night at Volcanoes Stadium.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Salem-Keizer carried a 9-8 lead into the top of the ninth on Sunday, but a two-run home run off the bat of Pedro Ruiz helped push across three runs, as Hillsboro defeated the Volcanoes 11-9 at Volcanoes Stadium.

Hillsboro hopped on the board with a two run top of the first.

Volcanoes Rally to Top Hops, 7-6

"Any time you're playing your division you always want to beat them, especially with [Hillsboro] being four games up on us," manager Gary Davenport said.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - The last time Salem-Keizer matched up against Hillsboro in a three-game series, it was left still searching for a series win. The Volcanoes won the opener 8-6 at Ron Tonkin Field on June 18, but dropped the final two games on consecutive nights.

Now, after winning the series opener last night 5-1, the Volcanoes needed every bit of their nine innings in Saturday's game to obtain that ever illusive series victory.

Volcanoes Treat Sellout Crowd to 4th of July Win

In front of the second-largest crowd in franchise history, Jose Reyes limits Hops to one run in seven innings of work.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - After dropping four of their last five games in an eight-game, multi-national road trip, the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes were in desperate need of a pick-me-up.

Jose Reyes pitched seven innings of two-hit ball and the Volcanoes jumped ahead with a three-run first inning, as Salem-Keizer defeated the Hillsboro Hops 5-1 in Friday night.
