Everett Uses the Long Ball to Power Past Volcanoes

The Volcanoes take on the AquaSox in game three of the series with a special morning game.

(EVERETT, Wash. ) - Salem Keizer Volcanoes Four Everett home runs, including two in the bottom of the eighth inning, powered a 7-5 win over Salem-Keizer Tuesday night in front of 1,527 at Everett Memorial Stadium.

After Jose Reyes Jake McCasland held the AquaSox to just one base runner from the third to the seventh innings, Steven Neff entered in relief for the Volcanoes up 5-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Mende Homerun Pushes Volcanoes Past Everett

The AquaSox (8-23) and Volcanoes (15-16) continue their five-game series at Everett Memorial Stadium Tuesday at 7:05.

(EVERETT, Wash. ) - Salem Keizer Volcanoes Sam Mende's first hit of the night was the biggest one of the game for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.

The third baseman belted a two-run homer in the top of the tenth inning to break a 4-4 tie and lift Salem-Keizer to a 6-4 win over the Everett AquaSox at Everett Memorial Stadium Monday night.

Baserunning Errors Cost Volcanoes in 7-5 Loss

Hillsboro hopped on the board early with a three run first inning.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Salem Keizer Volcanoes Salem-Keizer entered the final game of a three-game series against the Hillsboro Hops looking for their third straight series win.

Hillsboro had other ideas, as a three-run rally in the top of the eighth gave the Hops a lead they would not give back, as they went on to defeat the Volcanoes 7-5 on Sunday night at Volcanoes stadium.

Volcanoes Win Wild One over Hops, 6-5

To lead off the third inning, Mende collected his first hit as a Volcano.

(HILLSBORO, Ore. ) - Salem Keizer Volcanoes Skyler Ewing It was a wild ending to another nail-biter from Ron Tonkin Field, as the Volcanoes relied on a game-ending, bases-loaded strike out from Eury Sanchez in the bottom of the ninth to claim a 6-5 victory on Saturday night.

The Volcanoes entered the home-half of the ninth inning with a 6-4 lead in hand. Salem-Keizer reliever Eury Sanchez surrendered a two-out ground-rule double to Hops' nine-hole hitter Justin Gonzalez on a ball that bounced off of the outfield turf and cleared the outfield wall.

Volcanoes Use 4-Run Rally to Defeat Eugene

The Volcanoes head north to Hillsboro to battle the first place Hops Friday night.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Salem Keizer Volcanoes Thursday night provided a back and forth contest at Volcanoes Stadium, but Salem-Keizer was able to break through permanently with a four run rally in the bottom of the sixth, as the Volcanoes defeated the Eugene Emeralds 6-5.

Two of those runs came off the bat of Tyler Hollick, who slapped a double down the left field line with two outs.

Emeralds Hold Off Volcanoes, 8-6

Coming off of three impressive outings, Drew Leenhouts struggled from the get-go.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - Salem Keizer Volcanoes Through six innings at Volcanoes Stadium, the Eugene Emeralds had a comfortable eight-run lead largely in part to two early home runs.

Volcanoes Rally to Top Hops, 7-6

Now, after winning the series opener last night 5-1, the Volcanoes needed every bit of their nine innings in Saturday's game to obtain that ever illusive series victory.
