I spent much of last summer riding my motorcycle around the United States giving talks about trichloroethylene (TCE) contamination knowing full well that most people have never heard of this deadly chemical compound destroying drinking water viability all over the country.

Eighteen of the chemicals are not regulated under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act so utilities do not have to meet any limit or even monitor for them.
(WASHINGTON, DC ) -
Traces of 18 unregulated chemicals were found in drinking water from more than one-third of U.S. water utilities in a nationwide sampling, according to new, unpublished research by federal scientists.
Included are 11 perfluorinated chemicals, an herbicide, two solvents, caffeine, an antibacterial compound, a metal and an antidepressant.
The affected residents of the six targeted buildings will meet with Treasure Island officials Tuesday night to learn details of the relocation plan and to express concerns about the effort.
(SAN FRANCISCO) -
About two dozen families are being forced from their Treasure Island homes so the Navy can clean up toxic material buried in the old waste disposal site beneath the townhouse units.
"A letter we got last week was the first we heard of it," said Paris Hayes, who has lived in his Bayside Drive unit for more than 10 years. The residents will be moved out in stages, with the first group leaving in April and the last gone by July.
Pharmacological treatment is best.
(PORTLAND, OR) -
Readers are most likely wondering about my title --- good, good! A whole bunch of entrenched treatments must be critiqued. They are bad for the Veterans and society as a whole. With 22 PTSD Veterans killing themselves every day and thousands homeless or hermits, something must be said about this absolute betrayal of our combat Veterans. Our society owes them the return of their souls and minds.
It is not necessary for me to recite the causes and effects of PTSD. They are well known and a cancer on our society. Almost from the first, they were regarded as a lack of moral fiber and/or a sign of whimpiness. Not so. The best combat soldier is frequently the worst victim if he is still alive. His brain has been undone.
Cannabis best relieves PTS, say most veterans.
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
I was both astonished and bewildered by Scott Kelly's TV program, The War Within: Treating PTS. It appears that Dr. Kevin Reeder, who acts more like a psychologist guarding his turf, somehow got to Kelly to promote a PTS treatment called “Prolonged Exposure Therapy”, which after years of use does not really work. How he got some 16 PTS veterans to participate really baffles me.
For me to intervene in this brouhaha requires my introduction to the subject.
Radon, a radioactive gas from the soil and rock beneath many homes, keeps itself well hidden.
(WASHINGTON, DC) -
Mention radon to most people, and you’ll get a blank stare. But mention lung cancer, and you’ve got their attention! Most people don’t know that exposure to radon, an invisible odorless gas, is the leading cause of lung cancer among nonsmokers.
Oregon is recognized as having a very high risk of radon, so we at the American Lung Association want you to know how to protect your family.
A message from the leader of Organic Consumers Association...
(WASHINGTON, DC) -
Did you know that the majority of holiday turkeys destined for your table can't fly or walk because they were kept in tight spaces and continuously fed antibiotics to make them fat? Did you also know that your Butterball turkey could actually make you sick?
Scientists have determined that the indiscriminate use of antibiotics in turkey feed is producing antibiotic-resistant bugs. And those bugs are turning up in turkey meat.
