High Wind Warning Issued for NW Oregon and SW Washington by NWS

A wind storm is expected for much of NW Oregon and SW Washington on Monday. Winds will be increasing to 25 to 35 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Willamette River This storm is expected to produce a period of heavy rain Monday morning and early Monday afternoon, but the associated cold front is forecast to move south of northwest Oregon by late Monday – sooner than previously thought. This will limit the duration of the heavy rain and lessening the risk of flooding on area rivers.

However, the rain may be heavy enough at times for some localized urban flooding.

A low pressure system and cold front will move across the area tonight and Tuesday. This will result in snow for many locations, especially Central and Northeast Oregon.

Oregon Cases of E. Coli Linked to Chipotle Now at 12

Chipotle has closed at least 14 of its restaurants in the Portland metro area

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - chipotle The Oregon Health Authority is reporting a total of 12 cases of Shiga toxin E. coli linked to eating at Chipotle restaurants in the Portland Metro area, up from three cases that were first reported October 31.

Among the cases, three were hospitalized, Katrina Hedberg, MD, state health officer with OHA’s Public Health Division, said during a media briefing today.

(SALEM, Ore.) - William McPike Prominent medical marijuana defense attorney, William McPike opened the door of his residence Friday morning to find a dozen uniformed Madera Deputy sheriffs waiting on the other side. Madera County is located in California's San Joaquin Valley.

Sgt Larry Rich, who had just gotten out of a white unmarked vehicle, brandished a search warrant and demanded access to McPike's home. Deja vu ...Earlier in the week, Sgt Rich had made an appearance at the same location, but without any paperwork.
