Neglected Horses Seized in South Salem

The horses were thoroughbreds and quarter horses, but also included a Missouri Fox Trotter.

(Salem, Oregon) - Malnourished Mare Responding to an anonymous tip, Marion County deputies executed a search warrant, seized control of 16 neglected horses and arrested their owner on Tuesday afternoon.

The horses were found in a pasture and a barn on property in the 6800 block of Skyline Road South, in Salem.

Horse Fatally Shot Near Silverton

The investigation has been classified as an Aggravated Animal Abuse 1, a class C felony.

(SILVERTON, Ore.) - Miss Echo shot near Silverton Oregon Numerous residents in the 17000 block of South Abiqua Road reported hearing the sound of a single rifle shot around 6:05pm, Monday.

The initial caller reported that the shot came from an area very close to the field where a horse was grazing.

Stayton Woman Goes to Jail Following 103MPH Reckless Driving Arrest

(Salem, Oregon) - Kalisha Mashadda A 28-year old Stayton woman spent the night in the Marion County Jail following her arrest for reckless driving Friday night. Traffic Safety Team Deputy Ethan Griffith spotted Kalisha Mashadda driving southbound on Interstate 5 near Market Street in Salem at about 10:30pm. Griffith clocked her late model Honda Accord at 82mph as she tailgated vehicles and then rapidly changed lanes and passed other vehicles.

Marion Cultural Development Corporation Awards OCT Monies
