Corvallis Man Arrested for Fatal March Crash in Santiam Pass

The man who died, 57-year old Ju Feng was a Chinese national visiting the United States.

(CORVALLIS) - Crash scene on Santiam Pass March 06 Oregon State Police troopers say they arrested a Corvallis man Friday on charges stemming from a March 2006 fatal motor vehicle crash on the Santiam Pass. 34-year old Pengcheng Wu of Corvallis will face charges for Criminally Negligent Homicide.

Police say Wu was the driver of a 1998 Chevrolet Prism four-door sedan that was westbound on Highway 20 near milepost 79 on March 18th 2006, at approximately 8:10 PM, when the vehicle apparently crossed the centerline and collided with an eastbound 2006 GMC Yukon sport utility vehicle, driven by 65-year old Robert L. Morris of Bend.

A passenger in the Honda, 57-year old Ju Feng died at the scene. Feng was a Chinese national and was visiting the United States at the time of the collision.

Tangent Man Charged With Sex Abuse and Child Pornography

(TANGENT) - Matthew Reece Sanders A Linn County man is in custody on $350k bail following his arrest for sex abuse and child pornography charges.

Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller says Linn County deputies took a report of possible sex abuse as well as internet child pornography at a residence in Tangent on the afternoon of July 5th.

Mueller says that based on the initial report and statements from witnesses, deputies executed a search warrant at the residence of 41-year-old Matthew Reece Sanders.

Body of Missing Teen Recovered From Walter Wirth Lake

13-year-old Maria Martinez was last seen Saturday while swimming with a friend at the popular swimming spot at Cascade Gateway Park

Lebanon Woman Arrested for Animal Neglect

Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller reports that a Lebanon woman has been arrested for multiple counts of animal neglect.

(ALBANY) - A Lebanon woman faces 19 counts of animal neglect stemming from an investigation on her property at 39627 Mount Hope Road in Lebanon.

46-year old Cheryl Ann Hainz-Justice was arrested and taken to the Linn County Jail for 19 counts of Animal Neglect I.

Second Suspect Arrested in Connection to Oregon Murder of Melissa Bauer

Melissa Bauer`s body was discovered on the morning of December 20th at Larwood Park, east of Scio.

(Albany) - Melissa Bauer murder victim 35-year old Tonya Lynn Neal-Strawn of Lebanon was arrested Friday by Linn County Sheriff`s Detectives on Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Hindering Prosecution. She is lodged in the Linn County Jail and bail is set at $306,000.

Sheriff`s Detectives believe that Neal-Strawn was present at the time of the murder and also took part in destroying evidence related to the crime.
