Keizer Barn Destroyed in Late Afternoon Fire - PHOTOS

Investigators are looking into reports of people leaving the area just before the fire started.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Keizer Oregon barn fire 9-12-10 Keizer Fire District crews responded to a reported Barn fire at 7198 River Road N. In Keizer, Oregon. The initial call was received at 4:22 p.m. with units arriving on scene in approximately 5 minutes.

Joel Stein, Fire Marshal with Keizer Fire, says the first unit on scene reported heavy black smoke coming from both ends of the 5000 square foot single story building.

Keizer Police Fault Tree in Friday Afternoon Crash

No, it isn't a belated April Fool's joke.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Tree versus car crash, Keizer, Oregon 2 April 2010 Keizer Police say a large tree struck a motor vehicle in the 4500 block of Shoreline Drive North Friday at about 4:30 p.m.

Captain Jeff Kuhns with Keizer PD, says officers found the driver and passenger had already exited the vehicle, a 1991 Toyota Previa, and were not complaining of any serious medical problems.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Shooting investigation Keizer Police officers responded to a report of a gun shot wound at 1:14 p.m. today, in a single family home on Pleasant View Drive NE.

Keizer Police Captain Jeff Kuhns, says that upon their arrival, officers found an adult female and an adult male had both received a gunshot injury.

Keizer Police are investigating a shooting that was reported last evening at 10:07 p.m. Keizer Police Captain Jeff Kuhns, says the victim, 21-year old Travis Clawson, died from his injuries a short time after 4:00 a.m. this morning at the Salem Hospital.

Keizer Woman and Children Escape Apartment Fire (VIDEO)

A smoke alarm rouses a mom and her two small boys during a dangerous apartment fire.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Keizer, Oregon mom who lost her home to fire Keizer firefighters were called out at 11:46 p.m. Thursday over a report of a fire in an apartment complex on Plymouth Drive NE in Keizer.

Captain Brian Butler says firefighters arriving on scene at 11:50 p.m. called for a second alarm. Fire crews rolling up, "observed fire from the rear of the building on the second floor".

Missing 14-Year Old Swimmer Recovered From Willamette River (UPDATED)

The search for the missing swimmer came to a close today with the discovery of the boy's body.

(KEIZER, Ore.) - Missing swimmer near Keizer, Oregon 7-27-09 UPDATE 1:00 p.m.: The Polk County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Oregon National Guard Helicopter have located the missing 14 year-old boy who disappeared Monday night while swimming with friends in the Willamette River near Spongs Landing.

The body of 14-year old Joe Engichy, was located at 11:00 a.m. today in about seven feet of water.
