Fatal Hubbard Fire a Criminal Investigation

Investigators believe that all three fires were intentionally set.

(HUBBARD, Ore.) - fire investigation Investigators have worked all day searching and sifting through debris from Tuesday's fire. Investigators have made steady progress during their search but their efforts have been slowed because of the amount of damage to the structures and the adverse weather conditions.

The Sheriff's Office is not currently releasing any information regarding the deceased person found inside the residence or any information regarding the evidence found during today's search.

Cause Undetermined Following Investigation

(LEBANON, Ore.) - Lebanon Oregon house fire An early morning fire in the 100 block of Wheeler Street in Lebanon lit up the sky and destroyed a single family dwelling.

A passerby reported the fire to 911 at 3:20 a.m. and the Lebanon Fire District was notified at 3:21 a.m.

(BANDON, Ore.) - Salem-News.com The recent heat wave in our region has been, at worst, an inconvenience for most of us. Elsewhere in the Northwest there have been all manner of wildland fires resulting, according to one news report, in the loss of over 300 homes. That’s at least 300 families who were ordered to get out and find safety elsewhere.

The need for evacuation is rare in our regio .... But at this writing, several major wildland fires are threatening more homes and scorching thousands of acres of forest land.

Oregon: Corner Creek Fire Update

A "full-suppression strategy" for the Corner Creek Fire includes operations in the Black Canyon Wilderness.

(PRINEVILLE, Ore.) - Corner Creek Fire The Corner Creek Fire grew slightly to 27,166 acres on Monday due to fire line relocation and burnout operations along the fire's western flank. Despite some gusty winds to 30 mph late Monday afternoon, the Corner Creek Fire stayed within containment lines.

The fire is 15 percent contained and 1,100 people are assigned to the suppression effort.

OSP Assisting Wasco County SO with Armed/Barricaded Subject

The smoke appeared some time after police heard gunshots.

Apartment Fire in Keizer is a Safety Reminder for Residents

Turning on the heat should be done with care so as not to create a hazard for your family.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Keizer apartment fire Keizer firefighters responded to the report of an apartment fire Wednesday morning. The fire was reported by a neighbor who had been smelling smoke occasionally and then noticed smoke coming from his bathroom sink.

Upon investigation, he found smoke coming from his neighbors window. He promptly called 9-1-1 and began notifying other residents of the apartment complex that there was a fire. No one was in the apartment at the time of the fire.

Oregon`s Deception Complex Fire Update

A Red Flag Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity is in effect through 8:00 p.m. Sunday.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Oregon firefighter The Deception Complex fire is expected to become more active, especially from noon through 5:00 p.m., as relative humidity drops to 10 to 15%. Winds will generally be out of the southwest to west at 10 miles per hour. However, as a surface low pressure system moves over the area around mid-day Saturday, winds could become very gusty and erratic.

Oregon Interagency Incident Management Team 4 with Incident Commander Brian J. Watts assumed management of the fire at 6 a.m. Saturday morning.
