Celebrity Socialite Paris Hilton Checks into Jail

In a statement, Hilton said: ‘During the past few weeks, I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes.’

(LOS ANGELES) - paris hilton photo Celebrity socialite Paris Hilton has checked into a Los Angeles Jail to begin serving a 23-day sentence for driving with a suspended licence.

An entry at the Los Angeles County Inmate Information Center said Hilton, 26, had been processed into the jail system on Sunday at 11:38 PM and given a booking number - 9818783.

Hilton was ordered to serve time behind bars after being pulled over in February for driving with a suspended license while on probation for a previous drunk driving violation.

Oregon State Grad Named 2007 Playboy Playmate of the Year

Sara Jean Underwood grew up in Scappoose, Oregon.

(LOS ANGELES) - Sara Jean Underwood Oregon State University grad Sara Jean Underwood went from Playboy's Girls of the Pac 10 cover to Miss July 2006, and, now, Playmate of the Year.

She appeared on the cover of the October 2005 issue holding a football with nothing but bodypaint on her to simulate her wearing a jersey similar in design to the ones worn by the OSU Beavers football team with matching bikini briefs.

(NEW YORK) - Sheryl Crow Photo Singer, song writer and breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow is calling for a limit on toilet paper usage to help the environment.

Crow has also designed a clothing line that has what's called a "dining sleeve".

The sleeve is detachable and can be replaced with another "dining sleeve," after usage.

Britney Spears Out of Rehab

The 25-year-old performer is a Grammy Award-winning pop singer, dancer, actress, author and songwriter.

(MALIBU, Calif. ) - Britney Spears Embattled pop star Britney Spears checked out of Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Treatment Facility on Tuesday.

The pop star's manager said in a statement released by Jive Records that she left “after successfully completing their program.”

Spears entered the facility on February 21st, after some highly publicized bizarre behavior that included getting her head shaved bald, and beating a car with an umbrella.

(CORVALLIS) - Mark Chesnutt Show Up – Show Off – Celebrate! is the 2007 theme for the Benton County Fair and Rodeo, Aug. 1st – 5th.

Anna Nicole Smith Dead at 39

Beverly Hills publicist Edward Lozzi called Smith very funny and dumb like a fox.

(HOLLYWOOD, FL) - Anna Nicole Smith Anna Nicole Smith has died at the age of 39.

According to reports, Smith collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

At 1:38 PM EST a nurse traveling with Smith called 911. At 1:45 PM EST one of her bodyguards started CPR in her hotel room.

Hotel officials said Smith was "unresponsive." Emergency responders performed CPR at the scene, but she was pronounced dead at 2:49 PM EST.

10TH Annual Crystal Apple Awards Ceremony Thursday Night

The awards event will also feature music from its own Crystal Apple Band and entertainment by nationally recognized inspirational comedian, and speaker, Judson Laipply.

(SALEM) - Crystal Apple Awards nominee Gay Hopkins 2nd Grade Teacher Keizer Elementary School The 10th annual Crystal Apple Awards dinner and ceremony will take place Thursday at the Historic Elsinore Theatre.

The event will be a theater-style evening with a “Live from the Red Carpet Show,” starting at 6:30 PM, with the program beginning at 7:00 PM.
The Crystal Apple Awards® gives the Salem area business community the opportunity to honor Salem-Keizer area educators for making significant contributions in the lives of children.
