Salem Man Arrested on Meth Charges

The man is one of several people taken into custody after a warrant was served at a home in NE Salem.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Crime scene tape A long term investigation into a suspected meth house led to several arrests Wednesday. Marion County Sheriff's Office Lt. Bob Stai says detectives and the county SWAT team, with assistance from the Marion County Interagency Meth Strike Force, executed a search warrant at 4575 Satter Drive NE.

Investigators say they believed methamphetamine was being distributed from the location.

After entering the residence, SWAT members located what appeared to be precursor chemicals used in the making of methamphetamine.

DEA Announces Major Heroin Seizure

DEA agents say they recovered approximately 16.2 pounds of heroin.

(SEATTLE, Wash.) - Police car The Drug Enforcement Administration made what is believed to be the second largest single seizure of heroin in Oregon history Tuesday.

Special Agent in Charge Rodney Benson says agents with the DEA, in conjunction with the arrests of several dozen persons yesterday in Eugene and elsewhere, executed an additional search and arrest warrant late yesterday leading to the heroin bust.

During the course of the investigation and while rounding up over 30 individuals who were accused of being involved in the drug trafficking network, agents obtained additional information that led to a federal search warrant for a residence in Springfield, Oregon.

Benson says law enforcement officers arrested a 23-year old man on drug charges while searching the residence late Wednesday. They report the recovery of approximately 16.2 pounds of heroin that had been secreted in the house, along with almost $8,000 in U.S. currency.

Salem, Oregon Mom Lodged on $9.3 Million in Bail, 17 Kids Taken Into Protective Custody

Officers began this investigation at about 11:15 am. The officer's finished the investigation just after 1:00 AM. In all, 12 adults were arrested on 78 criminal charges and 17 children were taken into protective custody.

Federal and State Authorities Dismantle Alleged Oregon Drug Trafficking Network

The DEA says the criminal organization directed the importation of the illicit drugs from Mexico and then arranged for its transportation and eventual distribution in Oregon and elsewhere.

(SEATTLE) - DEA badge Dozens of people were arrested today by the Drug Enforcement Administration in what is described as a sophisticated drug trafficking network.

The arrests took place after an eight month investigation which culminated in the service of numerous federal search and arrest warrants in and around the Eugene, Oregon area.

Search Warrants Lead to Drug Arrests in Albany

A total of three people were arrested.

(ALBANY) - 51-year old Richard Albert Dalke Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller says that two unrelated narcotics search warrants served since Friday led to arrests and seizure of dealer quantities of cocaine and marijuana.

Friday at about 1:43 PM the Linn Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 1010 14th Ave SW in Albany. Seized during the raid was over 1 ounce of Cocaine, $5000.00 cash, marijuana, packaging material, drug paraphernalia, and scales.

Arrested at the scene was 51-year old Richard Albert Dalke who resides at that address. Dalke was charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance within 1000 feet of a school and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Postal Carrier Arrested for Distributing Marijuana

Berkan's arrest came after a near year-long investigation begun by the U.S. Postal Service

(PORTLAND) - Salem-News.com Ronald "Rick" Richard Berkan, Jr., 46, was arrested March 1, 2007 at his home in Vernonia, Oregon by federal and state officers following his indictment by a federal grand jury on two counts of Distributing Marijuana to an Underage Individual in violation of federal statutes.

Investigators say these charges stem from Berkan's sale of pound quantities of marijuana to a buyer who was between 16 and 19 years of age, to include occasions when he was operating his postal truck in the Cedar Mill area of Washington County. Under federal statute, Title 21 of the United States Code, Section 859, it is a felony to distribute a controlled substance to a person under the age of 21 years.

Month Long Investigation Pays Off for Polk County Narcotics Team

Police say a search of the man's home revealed a loaded handgun, drugs and paraphernalia.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - Carlos Ramirez Photo: Polk County Sheriff Polk County Sheriff's deputies took advantage of a traffic stop this week, serving a search warrant on a driver they pulled over Wednesday afternoon on Highway 22 near 50th Avenue in Dallas.

Around 3:20 PM Wednesday, a maroon Acura driven by 23-year old Carlos Ramirez was stopped by deputies who realized that the driver had a warrant for his arrest issued by the Polk County Inter-agency Narcotics Team. (POINT) The driver of this vehicle who was suspected of manufacturing/selling drugs.

Police Arrest Man in Salem Carrying Five Pounds of Crystal Meth in a Cardboard Box

The driver of the car escaped police.

(SALEM) - Five pounds of Crystal Meth seized by Salem, Oregon Police A man was arrested Thursday morning when he ran from a vehicle during a traffic stop in Salem carrying a box that police say contained approximately 5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine.

The driver fled in the vehicle that was found abandoned a few blocks from the original stop location.
