The investigation spanned numerous states and Mexico, involving dozens of law enforcement agencies.

Salem Police say operations conducted on June 6th and June 7th in Oregon as well as several other states resulted in 12 arrests and massive seizures.

Police Arrest Sandy Woman for Trying to Mail Drugs into Multnomah County Jail

The woman has previous convictions for Theft First Degree, and Theft Second Degree.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Andrea Roselle photo On Wednesday, a Multnomah County Inverness Jail Deputy notified the assigned Corrections Division Detective that a suspicious letter had been intercepted during mail inspection.

The letter, addressed to inmate Bernard Roselle, was discovered to have suspicious matter hidden within that was suspected to be Marijuana and Methamphetamine.

Upon examination the detective discovered the letter had a return name and address to an address in NE Portland that did not exist.

Vancouver, Washington Police Make Arrest in Teen`s Homicide

Shelby Howard's cause of death as "ecstasy (MDNA) toxicity".

(VANCOUVER, Wa.) - 19-year old Stetzon W. Sharp Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Team charged 19-year old Stetzon W. Sharp today in connection with one count of Controlled Substance Homicide. This is the result of the investigation into the death of Shelby Howard on May 5th, 2007.

During the investigation, detectives say they learned that Sharp had allegedly threatened his girlfriend with a handgun on the morning of May 4th. Detectives served a search warrant on Sharp's vehicle and recovered a handgun.

Salem Traffic Stop Nets 24 Pounds of Marijuana

Both the driver and passenger face a long list of charges.

(SALEM) - salem_marijuana_stop Salem Police received a tip from a concerned citizen about a careless driver on the streets of Salem late Tuesday.

When Officer Jared Noack spotted the vehicle, the erratic driving confirmed he had located the right vehicle.

But what Officer Noack did not know at the time he contacted the driver was that there were 24 pounds of Marijuana hidden inside the cargo area of the vehicle.

Oregon Man Arrested on Meth Charges, Furnishing Beer to Teen

The two children were turned over to a relative who responded to the scene.

(WOODBURN, Ore. ) - Samual_Gomez_Bravo An Oregon State Police trooper, with the assistance of an OSP drug dog, seized approximately one ounce of methamphetamine during a traffic stop Tuesday evening on Interstate 5 about one mile south of Woodburn.

Accompanying the suspect were two passengers, ages 14 and 3, one of which was also drinking a Corona beer provided by the suspect.

Prior to the stop, the trooper noted a juvenile male passenger, later determined to be 14 years of age, was drinking from a bottle of Corona beer.

Oregon Police Trooper Seizes Approximately 171 Pounds of Marijuana

Oregon State Police Drug Enforcement Section detectives estimate the value of the seized marijuana at $400,000 - $500,000.

(PENDLETON, Ore.) - 171 pounds of marijuana found by OSP in trunk, Pendleton, Ore., 5907 An Oregon State Police, with the assistance of his drug detection dog, seized approximately 171 pounds of marijuana Tuesday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 in the Pendleton-area.

During the contact, the trooper's drug detection dog alerted on the car and a subsequent search led to the discovery of approximately 171 pounds of marijuana in the trunk.

Search Warrant Sweep Leads to Many Arrests and Seizure of Over 1 1/2 Pound of Meth

U.S. Coast Guard Announces Record Cocaine Bust

The 14 crew members are being processed for further legal action.

(ALAMEDA, Calif.) - coast guard photo The Coast Guard has offloaded more than 40,000 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $500 million from cutter Sherman seized by the crew in three busts near Central America in February and March.

The offload will include approximately 38,000 pounds of cocaine seized in the largest cocaine bust in maritime history.

The Ecuadorian-flagged fishing vessel Don Juan K was approached in the Pacific Ocean Feb. 19th off the coast of Mexico while allegedly offloading cocaine into "go-fast" (cigarette-style boat) boats.

Albany Pair Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges

Arrested at the residence was 48-year old Robert Frederick Hammond, and 41-year old Linda Diana Mendoza.

(ALBANY, Ore.) - Linda Diana Mendoza and Robert Frederick Hammond A search warrant in Albany led to the arrest of two residents and according to Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller, "dealer amounts of methamphetamine, packaging materials, scales, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia." He says deputies also recovered over 20 firearms and a large quantity of ammunition.
