- Mae West

(DAYTONA BEACH, FL) - Victoria Day in Canada When I was a kid, growing up in the Alberta dust bowl during the Thirties, Queen Victoria's Birthday was a holiday. It still is. Victoria ruled England and all the little colonies beyond the seas for 60 years or so until she kicked well over 100 years ago. Sometimes, A Great Town

Human nature cannot be studied in cities except at a disadvantage--a village is the place. There you can know your man inside and out--in a city you but know his crust; and his crust is usually a lie. - Mark Twain
