Family and friends told trial was postponed / grave violation of human rights.

(LONDON) - Maikel Nabil Sanad In what many call an outrageous move by the military, family and friends of Maikel Nabil Sanad were told the trial was postponed, while in fact he was being sentenced at the same time - alone.

Sanad appeared in front of the military court in Cairo on charges of "insulting the military by publishing false news about it" and "obstructing public security"

Move Over AIPAC

“No lobby has managed to divert U.S. foreign policy as far from the American national interest… while simultaneously convincing Americans that U.S. and Israeli interests are essentially identical.”– John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt - keynote speakers

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Move Over AIPAC Few Americans are aware of the enormous influence AIPAC wields over U.S. foreign adventures – especially in the Middle East.

The unquestioning support of Israel’s abuse of Palestinians and America's willingness to go to war against Israel’s neighbors illustrate blind obedience to orders from AIPAC.

One Can Not Help But Wonder

Protecting a faith has less to do with the faith than it does with the interests of those who control it.

(GOLD RIVER, B.C.) - Mazur e Sharif One Can Not Help But Wonder Those who follow the international news will know that the nut case pastor down in Florida burned a copy of the Koran.

This prompted the President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, to call for the arrest of the pastor resulting in a bunch of yahoos in Afghanistan rioting in protest and in Mazar-i- Sharif even killing UN aid personnel.

The Goldstone Affair: The Loyal Zionist Judge Who Came In From the Cold

Whatever initially might have been right about Zionism as a movement, the Goldstone affair is a further indication that Zionism has been badly misused by Israel’s current leadership.

(CHICAGO) - Goldstone I have been studying an excellent documentary, Occupation 101, an examination of the root causes of the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The case of Judge Richard Goldstone broke too late to make it into the film, but I have a suggestion for the film makers: Start work on a sequel. Call it The Goldstone Affair: The Loyal Zionist Judge Who Came in From the Cold.

On Jewish Intolerance

The Goldstone saga is an opportunity to peep into contemporary Jewish political intolerance, and Goldstone emerges as a tragic figure.

(LONDON) - Goldstone In a New Statesman article, law professor John Dugard, who was a Judge on The International Court of Justice as well as being Special Raporteur for United Nations Commission on Human Rights, summarises the Goldstone apology saga:

‘there are no new facts that could possibly have led Richard Goldstone to change his mind about the UN-backed investigation into Israel and the conflict in Gaza.’

(ALEXANDRIA, Egypt) - Storming the Israeli embassy in Cairo The western press and even Al Jazeera have failed to report today’s demonstrations in Tahir Square, Cairo accurately.

HumanRights: From Deir Yassin to Gaza

Just in the past three days, 18 Palestinians were murdered in Gaza by the same occupation army; including a man and his grand-daughter. I penned a poem along the way.

(BETHLEHEM) - Salem-News.com I am back in Palestine after a long 40 day book tour in which I visited 3
countries, 16 US states, gave talks 67 times and interviewed on TV and Radio extensively.

Over 3000 wonderful contacts were made and the publisher tells me that 1300 books were sold along the way.

Egyptians are Back in Tahrir Square to Block a Counter Revolution

“To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction. And to every revolution there is often plotted a counter revolution…”

(ALEXANDRIA, Egypt) - Secular Egyptian youths sparked the uprising The world still recalls those thousands of Egyptians protesting in Tahrir square at the heart of Cairo in one of the most inspiring scenes of the human quest for freedom and democracy in modern times.

It was wonderful to watch those magical moments where power of the people powerfully came into effect, but for some it was equally worrying as they contemplated on what would come next.

Muslim Brotherhood Breaking Free of Nasser`s Long Ban on the Group

Decades of political repression of dissent in Egypt has created an iceberg out of the Muslim Brotherhood group -MB- with seven-eighths of its actual size under the surface.

(ALEXANDRIA, Egypt) - Egyptian President, Gamal Abdel Nasser It was really the best of times, it was absolutely the worst of times, back in the sixties.

President Gamal Abdel Nasser’s time in Egypt when he reigned like some legendary knight as if he was sultan Saladin, the epitome of Arabic chivalry, who united the Arabs and fought back the western medieval crusaders.
