At Least Two Pedestrians Struck by Driver in Salem

(SALEM) - Lucky Fortune Salem Oregon Salem Police say a person was run over by a car during "some sort of altercation" at the Lucky Fortune Lounge Thursday night.

Lt Dave Okada Tells us the altercation took place at 1401 Lancaster Dr NE. A witness to the violent act, Andrew Harrison of Salem, says it was "really crazy" and believes the suspect was extremely dangerous.

Feds Close Juarez Casinos

Despite the extreme violence that erupted in Ciudad Juarez after 2008, the gaming industry continued to expand locally.

(LAS CRUCES, NM) - Nationwide, an estimated 100,000 slot machines operated in Mexican casinos alone by 2011 Mexican federal law enforcement agents swooped down on three Ciudad Juarez casinos last weekend, detaining employees and placing “closed” seals on the businesses.

The target of the July 28 raids was the Uno bingo and sports book chain that maintained three casinos in different sections of the border city.

(GREENVILLE, S.C. KultureKritic) - Loretta Robinson and he son, the late Justin Darryl Walker Loretta Robinson, a mother in South Carolina, was hit with tragedy when she found out that her son was killed by a drunken driver. Adding insult to injury, the state has sent her a bill for the cleanup of her son’s blood off the highway.

The incident took place in Greenville.

Goddess Kali, who personifies Sakti or divine energy, is widely worshipped in Hinduism.

(NEW DELHI / PORTLAND) - Image of Goddess Kali “Kali-Ma” beer, earlier scheduled to be launched today by a Portland brewery but then cancelled after Hindu protest, was reportedly raised in the upper house of India’s Parliament on May 15 with demand of immediate summoning of US ambassador.

According to reports, it was stated in Rajya Sabha in India’s capital New Delhi on this issue that the religious feelings of Hindus were being hurt.

Portland Brewery Apologizes & Will Rename `Kali-Ma` Beer After Hindus` Protest

Portland brewery does the right thing...

(PORTLAND, OR) - Portland Brewing Company Portland based Burnside Brewing Company, which earlier announced to release its “Kali-Ma” beer on May 15; has apologized, postponed the release and would rename it.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, who spearheaded the protest, thanked and commended the Company for taking quick action and for having an understanding for the hurt feelings of Hindu community.
